Almost like the city was tryin to create that mental anger and anguish....The one thing that always tripped me out about Cabrini Green is how close it was to everything. You could ride on a bicycle for 5 min from Cabrini Green and be in River North. Kind of reminds me in India where those billionaires build towers right next to the slums, that's exactly how downtown Chi was
My sis lived in Chicago with her ex husband at the time...we were visiting and he was from the jects.....but we actually rode through cabrini on accident, but he knew cats there too anyway ....it was me my mother father sis and him in the whip....and they were throwing gang signs (folk or gd I imagine) at my parents and usBreh, no regular nikka would have had me shook there. I was more worried about seeing this man pop up out of nowhere

Breh...you buggin'....parts of Dayton are FUUUKKKKED up.....they doin a lot of clean up work in cinci tho (still dangerous pockets tho)....but Dayton is small, unemployed and gun filled, don't get it fukked up out there breh. Tops do get twisted nightly there.

I roll thru there a lot and it's definitely the hood and grime in both, but compared to places like DET and St Louis and Camden NJ, it ain't on those levels. nikkas are cool as hell there too, especially Cincy nikkas. I ain't feel uncomfortable but of course I was wit a group of nikkas from up here that are established down there with them R's if u know what I mean.

Cinci really hasn't been bad since the late eighties early nineties....they've virtually redone over the Rhine (where Omar epps and ll filmed in too deep)....it's all gentrified now....but Dayton is just bad fam. I feel you on the comparisons, but it's only that way cuz det., nj and stl still have a decent migration rate....absolutely no one is migrating to Dayton, I actually think this is why it's so bad....same people living in the same place generation after generation....just all out blight. Det. at least had the auto big three , stl the beer brewing and NJ being so close to nyc....cats migrate there cuz theres money being made there legal and illegal.....Dayton is just all illegal....it's some factories and what not but most of them move to cinci....and the ones who stay just shoot it out

We took the train out to Boston years ago, and one of the stops was in Syracuse. I was surprised at how grimy some spots were. There were a gang of stops in NY. Schenectady, Utica, Buffalo, Rochester... I was surprised cuz they didn't look no different than spots here in Michigan or throughout the midwest. Blue collar towns that time has forgotten.

Cincy at one point had the most dangerous intersection in the US with a 1 in 4 chance in being involved in a violent crime. It's not on the level of Detroit or Flint grime, or Chicago violence but Cincy gutter af and there is LOTS of racial tension there.
I did a job one summer back in '05 and we had to do lawn care shyt in Toledo, OH and dead ass we were on the East Side which was mostly white people but there was a burned out project complex across the street that was vacant with squatters living in it. shyt was half standing and overgrown and it was one of the worst things I've ever seen tbh.
