south bronx in da 80's
worst place in da country
there are luxury condos right where cabrini greens is nowThe one thing that always tripped me out about Cabrini Green is how close it was to everything. You could ride on a bicycle for 5 min from Cabrini Green and be in River North. Kind of reminds me in India where those billionaires build towers right next to the slums, that's exactly how downtown Chi was
damn breh, you can write a book on that shytBreh, I was there the day the war broke out between Dudus and the Jamaican army. That was some real Mad Max sh*t@Kalik these nikkaz ain't talkin' hood unless they talkin' Tivoli Gardens or Cite de Soleil, nikkaz eatin' dirt and sh*t
damn you got robbed a lot .I been in and out of the hoods in my city but the one hood I probably felt the most unsafe was Ken Knight
In HS I got robbed for a lot of different shyt back then passing through there to skip school, ipods, phones, food, drinks, shoes, etc. all by different nikkas
im from one of the "hardest" hoods in my city (45th) but it's actually pretty peaceful most of the time, to think of it the schools IN the hood are probably more dangerous than living there
East St. Louis had a Nikka likegary indiana
east and north st louis too
and I'm from chicago and have family in some of the worst parts in the city from out west to southside
Yeah my grandfather took us to this small azz town in Mississippi when I was a shorty I forgot the name but the nickname was junk yard city the shyt was the saddest shyt I seen in my lifeSome of those rural towns in the south are where you can find some real poverty.
Like those small towns in eastern nc and Robeson county are depressing
damn you got robbed a lot .
kudos for not switchin up that walk home
people used to get thrown off the building there, heard stories of nikkas damn near sniping people from the top tooI heard they closed most of those down
The stories about those projects were simply off the chain
Kids getting killed because their neighbors were having shootouts, drug addicts in damn near every hallway, raid after rain after raid
The fact that these were conditions people were living in
