These games didn’t get delayed.

Sony did their usual of lying about release plans to sell consoles.

They did the same last gen. Bunch of games were supposed to release year one and got pushed way back.

These are million dollar decisions, they aren’t changing plans due to a Craig meme.

Beyond that the visuals are what they are, they will be cleaned up a bit, but the game is what it is. Wont be some transformational change to the visuals.

They delayed cause the game was not ready.

Game went from being a flagship launch title (they even had it featured on the console box) to an end of the year 2021 title. I wouldn’t even be surprised if it ends up in 2022. Thats not a minor flub, thats because of the backlash

Also, to some degree, I can see select games delays off-setting some others as well, due to them not wanting to potentially cannibalize their own games. Disney has been doing the same with its Marvel movies lately.

The year long delay is marketing. Microsoft doesn’t release games outside the holiday season.

Once the decision was made to delay it, there was no point in trying to rush it out early in the year.

The game is content complete right now. They are just using the time to upgrade things the best they can.
