Celebrities just provide us with the most extreme examples which is why I use them. I could just as easily give examples from my own personal life cause I've seen it in effect as well. There was this cute light skin girl I knew in college. Never really paid me no mind when we were undergrads. Then we meet up at this party years later in New York City. I got a fancy job as a lawyer while she's working at some restaraunt. And now she's all over me at this party, giving me her number, and even offering to cook for me. My looks didn't change any. All that changed was my status.
So it ain't just celebrities. Us normal guys have seen this switch up first hand once our status in life improves.

What are the actually numbers? Judging by the photos you posted and the body comp, I don’t see what he did as being impossible in an 11 month window. Especially as an actor who’s job is to get fit for a role. He doesn’t have the daily constraint of working a 9-5 or working overtime like the average american. He had a whole year and a personal trainer and probably a nutritionist to get in that shape. Not impossible Again, I’m gonna need stats.
I don't know about that because all the attractive girls follow the same blueprint. This girl I'm talking about dated nothing but athletes in college (who typically have the highest status when we're in school). Same with most of the baddest chicks on campus. They weren't checking for the normal guys. Fast forward to the real world and they start chasing the guys with the most bankrolls.
From the time we are kids to the time we are adults women seem to operate the same way. The baddest chicks are always about the guys with the highest status. When we're all broke kids its the athletes and "bad boys" they chase after. Then once the real world comes at them its about chasing dudes with the most paper.

Because your status relates to your health and looks. Your status as a ceo lets you get facials and gym memberships with trainers and buying $150 facial cremes and eating better which helps skin and all other aspects of lean, athletic, muscular men...
So while you might not be attracted to his status on the surface level.. Men with better status, tend to look better overall, because their lifestyle allows it.. Same way a woman with status and money will have more time to work on herself vs a working mom with 2 jobs and bills. You're more likely to find the man you're looking for when he has access to a gym, whole foods and time to use it vs some broke dude eating off the dollar menu

I didn't find my man by looking at his status. I thought he was handsome and we exchanged numbers. You guys are looking too far into things to justify your own insecurities. There are plenty of men of low status who are handsome without having to work out in the gym or buy expensive clothes. There are also plenty of unattractive men of low status who have women willing to do anything for them. Women like different things. Status isn't everything.

My girl is the same as she didn't care about my status and just found me attractive, hence why she's my girl cuz that's the only way I would ever be in a relationship.
It's all hyperbole. But breh is saying the vast majority do care about status. Beyonce is a perfect example of this.

I get what you are saying but I disagree. We are on a black forum so I'm going to specifically speak on black people in the US right now. I'm going to keep it all the way real. If most black women cared so much about status there wouldn't be so many women having so many out of wedlock kids to lower status men. And let's get even more real. Less than 10% of black men are of higher status yet most black women are with black men. Status isn't everything.
Leave celebrities out of this. They do not represent normal black people.
