So y'all are celebrating this girls death because she harmed hurt her friends and families feelings?

Mental health isn't that simple. She could have had other things going on under the surface.


Anyway my original argument is this. Why does this girl's death make so many happy?

I don't even see the real big deal here (not her death the thread). I mean how can @Willstyles say she should be able to do whatever she wants to do without judgement? It sounds good on the face but obviously if she went around calling us apes and monkeys we would judge her for that. If people want to judge her based on their own perception and prejudices that's cool with me. The fact remains that whether they admit it or not they are making a judgement subconsciously either way. I don't feel anyone should be able to do anything without judgement, that makes no sense.

I wouldn't have made fun of her on the internet and I'm not condoning it but when you make yourself a public figure, you have to expect that kind of backlash as inherent to publicity.

I'm wondering though; do any of us really care about this girl or are we using her as a prop in arguments/feuds that have been going on since SOHH? Because I know in two weeks we won't even remember this girl but people are still going to be calling Will a simp and me and Real are still going to disagree about Christianity.

Fair or unfair, right or wrong, everything you do has a consequence. People haven't changed and they won't change. You will always be judged by your past. I'm sorry for the family and I'm sorry that the only solution she could find feasible was taking her life, as opposed to deleting the accounts that were causing her duress and distancing herself from them.


Unfortunately, she made her decision and couldn't deal with the consequences. It sounds like she was already in limbo and depressed long before she jumped into porn. Shame that family has to bury her so young.

I singled you out because you responded to my point about certain Christians in this thread even though I didn't name names. You brought yourself into it, the way I see it, so I looked at your prior posts and saw that the shoe fit. Plus, you're a smart guy. Unlike certain other posters in this thread, I feel you are receptive to decent discussion. I'm sure you're a decent dude, but death is a serious issue, and this is a good opportunity to improve that one aspect of your life by following Jesus's example, which I admit is a wise one. Hence my point:

You dismissed her death several times, went so far as to ask why anyone should feel bad about it (even though you later admit Jesus would have felt bad about it) and called her a bytch, among other things. Is this really you trying? Is this the extent of your effort? Call me cynical, but somehow I don't think God would see it that way after not just one slip-up, but intentional post after post after post of cruel and callous words. And I know you're a smart man, so my guess is that you can do far better.

Unlike your stereotype of me as a non-religious man, my belief is that there is wisdom to be found in many different places, including the Bible, and as a non-Christian who believes the Bible is a mixture of good and bad things written by fallible human beings, I am free to agree with its wisdom and disagree with its ignorance. But in this thread, I've done a better job at following Jesus's example than the righteous Christian cohort, which is a shame.
