I think they meant the amount could cover rent for a year if budgeted wisely, not that she should hand over a year's worth of rent at once. They're talking about saving.

When you have bad credit or no credit (I was in the same circumstance as her and had to pay a year upfront as a student with no credit) this is life. You have to pay in advance in large sums for many things like housing or a car etc.

What confounds me is that you guys are posting like this is a proper and righteous approach...... If I earned/received the money legally..... you have no obligation to pressure or arbitrarily judge/prosecute me....
....
thats true

i mean being that someone wired 50k to her account and then she tried to take 20k out cash, i wasnt surprised by the flag/the checking it out. i just dont see the justification for her to still have it tied up in an investigation :patrice:

she should know that you cant withdraw thousands of dollars like that

She had already done it twice. So you're saying, she should "know", that she shouldn't do it a third time? You guys are reprimanding her for not being psychic. It doesn't make sense.

Yes, I agree with you. If she were psychic and had the hindsight of all of you geniuses, she would know to budget that 13k for years instead of spending it, knowing she had 37k left in the bank. She should have treated that 13k like it was her last, and had the wherewithal to buy another car before her current one wrecked. Then the bank deciding to freeze her funds due to jealously and racism would be a non issue. It's her own fault for being black with no physic ability.

OK granted most of the money in my circumstance was spent gradually and large sums were withdrew only about 4x a year I still don't think this Woman was treated correctly. If she provided her identification and was present at the withdrawal I can't understand why they would suspect fraud. It doesn't make any sense. For all cash amounts above a certain level you have to go to the teller for any bank. If she has a valid state ID card which matches her appearance and the debit card I don't understand why they should care what she does with her own money???
Yeah that's where the bank fukked up, but they didn't ask what she's going to do with it but rather where she got it from. it probably got weird when she refused to tell them where she got it. My bank asks me every month when I withdraw for my car payment, but they notice a pattern so they form their question differently. Instead of "why are you withdrawing this much?" Ir where did you get it", they ask "is this for an auto loan?" It's the Job. I answer yes with a smile and I am on my way. I bet if I get angry they'd wonder about me too.

. No one is saying you should have the foresight to know when to withdraw money, people are saying that to banks withdrawing thousands of dollars in several transactions in several locations is suspicious behavior and yes, you are responsible for knowing that. You are an adult.

A bank account is voluntary my dude. If you don't want to deal with banks then you don't have to. Keep your cash under your matress or in a safety deposit box. If you do chose to keep your money in a bank account then please learn the rules that you are signing up for.

Bank accounts are a necessary convenience of business.. .so miss me with that bullshyt.... but I do have a safe in the crib..... :sas2:

There is more to this story and yall nikkas quick to jump out there with the race stuff.

Do yall even know what the definition of "irregular activity " is?

The fact she is going to multiple banks pulling out thousands when her history does not shkw that pattern would throw a flag.

I been with bank of america fir over a decade and anytime something questionable has happened it has been resolved.

Matter of fact the lock my account if I do lots or random shyt in one day in different parts of the city

We live in a fraud age....and something telling me she is suspect

yeah something is wrong here.

within the last 6 months, I went into the bank and got a cashier's check made out for a large 5 figure amount for a downpayment on my house. and I didn't get any hassle from the bank. but then again, those funds had been in there for some years.....:patrice:
