Woman didn’t know she was pregnant, gives birth at Golden Corral and names baby after restaurant

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (WJW) – An Arkansas woman who did not know she was pregnant gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a Golden Corral restaurant and then named her baby after the franchise.
According to Today, Tayvia Woodfork and her family were visiting a Golden Corral restaurant in North Little Rock on May 4 when she told her family about some stomach pain she was having.
According to the Today report, that is when 26-year-old Tayvia excused herself to go to the bathroom.
Tayvia’s mother, Tameka Woodfork, went to check on her daughter after about 10 minutes. That is when she found Tayvia in distress and crying.
Tayvia did not realize she was 37 weeks pregnant and in active labor. She experienced what is called a cryptic pregnancy. According to the Cleveland Clinic, a cryptic pregnancy is when a person is unaware they’re pregnant.
Tayvia said she didn’t experience any pregnancy signs such as weight gain of feeling fetal movement, according to Today.
After paramedics arrived at the restaurant, Tayvia gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weighed 6 lbs., 1 oz. His name: Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork.
According to the report, Tayvia is also the mother to 2-year-old Taylon.
Golden Corral later posted a photo of the newborn on X saying, “IT’S A BOY! Please join us in welcoming Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork, who was so excited that his mother was dining at Golden Corral that he decided to join her! He was just born in our Golden Corral in North Little Rock, AR.”
The post went on to say, “His mom was so excited that she decided to include Corral in his legal name. Both mother and son are doing great, and we could not be happier! Welcome to the Golden Corral family Tamaar! You’re the new record holder as the youngest fan of Golden Corral! And don’t worry, we’ll make sure Mom is well taken care of with Golden Corral gift cards while she’s taking care of you.”
