Be ultra aggressive in the first phase, like Sekiro. If you keep attacking you can interrupt pretty much all his attacks. Second phase play defensively and use your block and only parry the red attacks.

Bruh i think i picked the worst class as far as magic goes, all i got is this toxic gas shyt that does no residual damage at all. Should have stuck with the fire class spells

Also, what weapon are you using? Did you beat that big vulture dragon?

I used the plus 4 sword. I didn't even use magic, I just beat everything with raw combat. Yeah, I beat the dragon, and every other enemy in the demo. The dragon keeps respawning so not really worth beating unless your wanna farm it. Make sure to find all the flag places so you can get your base level to rank 20.

damn those fukking were tigers are fukking me up, i feel like its hard to dodge or block their flurry of slashes and i cant find a parry opener

Also, i think im having trouble with some inputs, like my heal sometimes doesn’t work. I had 4 uses of it left and i was pushing up and…nothing.

I also end up switching weapons a lot and im not really sure why that keeps happening.

The heal fukked me so many times, definitely unresponsive. Same with the living weapon or whatever it's called doesn't summon when it says it's ready, so I just ignored it. You're probably pressing R1 and O, I think it instantly changes weapons as part of some fancy parry move. Do a jump attack from above on the tigers to take out half their HP and then lay into them on the ground. Then keep dodging or running behind them when they do that flurry shyt.

Seems like the game has some in input lag I wonder if its using some from of image scaling on performance mode:jbhmm:

yeah the responsiveness is lacking right now. I notice it on health the most, but it appears in nearly every input. I've got to get my reflex off the X button for dodge, still thinking its nioh.

Healing: it seems you have to be completely still to heal. Not ideal, but that seems to be alot of ppl's experience.

Switching weapons but not knowing why: R1+Circle is like a flash attack/parry all in one. It switches your weapon and does an attack, and if you time it right it also serves as a deflect. It actually covers alot of ground, so it's very effective at chasing down enemies that backdash. The boss, for instance. Also when fighting the boss in his first (human) phase, try to keep constant pressure on. If he dashes away, running attack him down.

Magic: I actually did not know this until after I finished the demo, but you can switch your spells out at the shrines/flags/whatever they're called. Same with the Divine Beasts. Divine Beasts in the Battle Preparations, and Spells in Wizardry Spells. So you're not locked into anything, which is good news obviously.

Team Ninja games always have big learning curves i feel. They require so many constant button presses, thats why everytime i fall off nioh 2 its hard to get back cause i have to remember how to do everything again.

Almost every button on the controllers feels like its getting a work out every encounter

Hopefully there is custom controls in the final game like in Nioh 2. That will help. But they really need to separate the dodge/deflect buttons. It makes no sense for it to be the same. I encourage everyone that finishes the demo to put that in their survey (if you fill it out).

I also told them we need more active weapon skills. Two is not gonna cut it. And lastly I want the game to be harder. It was not very difficult IMO.

Damn, they’re gonna have a hard time with balancing then because im finding it more difficult than nioh for some reason. I think its just the dodging mechanic that im having trouble with. The emphasis on Parrying makes it a bit more difficult too, its way less forgiving than Sekiro. I can block the critical strikes easily but the regular dodging is just off for me

I also feel like the hits are just draining my health also. Its like 2 or 3 hits to kill me and thats saying a lot cause every enemy has long ass combos in this game

Yeah dodging is dogshyt right now smh. I will keep beating this drum lol, but I can't believe they made it a two button press. Makes no sense. I'm a dodger, so that was very disappointing. The deflect timing seems very strict at times, but lenient at others. Pretty inconsistent. I'm gonna go on record to say that both of these issues will be fixed in the final game.

As far as health, yeah some attacks hit pretty hard, but I think the main thing is it's kinda easy for you to get stunlocked if you're not careful. Them tigers, for instance, have that flurry attack that will kill you fast as shyt if you don't get out ASAP. Same with the boss. He's got a couple of things that you gotta watch out for or else you'll die before you know it.
