:childplease: ... Not really.

HBCU's gotta make themselves more marketable & quit just accepting what comes to them.

how can they?

lets look at basketball for a second...

a school like kentucky....gets nothing but 4 and 5 star recruits...why? it aint becuz of academics...its becuz they have the best chance to win early and go to the nba...so kentucky keeps winning...and generating money...

no hbcu will ever be on that playing field...not unless the talent starts going there...which wont happen becuz of what i posted above...:ld:

and find a way to cash out athletes for more than big schools do

Which is never going to happen. Where would Southern get the money from?

Plus telling kids that they'd be around more black folks isn't really a selling point. A lot of these talented kids go to private schools with white people. They ain't trying to hear that anti-PAWG agenda.

Id rather see Kentucky win 20 str8 titles than to see a high cholesterol, hamhock college win.

:krs:

As someone that actually had a cup of coffee on an HBCU roster and played against top D1 talent, the difference in talent at the guard positions isn't that far apart...

The problem occurs at the 3,4, and 5 spots....That's when the men get separated from the boys and HBCU's get their dreams crushed...6'3" power forwards aren't the move

:wow:

If you are 6'8" and taller and can play you are going to a BCS level conference......

There are a lot of 6'1" nikkas in the country that can really play but there just aren't enough spots so they end up going HBCU, Division 2 or NAIA...
