I don't get it. :why: is mayweather getting all this flack? That pacquaio fight left a lot of nikkas mad. This fight will be way better than the pac fight. And yall paid $100 for that. Berto isn't a slouch and he will try his best. That's all we can ask for in a fighter.
breh..take a look at your haitian breh's last 3 fights..thats why most ppl have a problem with this fight

In general, I think Floyd Mayweather retiring is probably one of the better things for boxing. Everyone can stop chasing that big money fight with him and fight each other (Khan/One Time/etc).......Fans can stop with the May/Pac talks and who he's ducking. He's had a great career and he's one of my favorites but I don't want or expect anything more from him at this point. Anything he does now is just extra and I think people should see it as such.

no forgetting why he was called ghost in the first place fukked up his career..he skipped a couple divisions and became your typical mexican fighter but with reduced firepower...he took beatings before and especially after floyd at welterweight

The funny thing is he tried to Box N be "the Ghost" against Thurman N got his ass beat...he dumbed it down back to messican style N had success

I agree. The Pac fight was the fight of the Century but a huge letdown in most people's minds because they hyped it so much. I always knew he would handle Manny with not much problem. some stuff just easy to see. Berto is solid and will do a good job. Bad part is this fight shouldve happened when Berto was undefeated.....but it wasnt marketable then and little was known about Berto's true abilities. Now more is known about his abilities, he's damaged goods, yet the fight still has moderate marketability.

This may be the last time we see him fight, so I am copping. Its a mental thing for those saying they dont wanna pay, and I get that. At the same time, the same people fukk up that much money on a weekly basis on some bullshyt like another pair of kicks you dont need or buying some broad drinks at the bar, etc.... its what u see as value.

I dont have too much of a problem with the fight because I think its a good chance he will fight again. But again...I dont know.

The casual fan doesn't know that tho :mjpls:

if berto at least had a belt or a win of some notoriety..it could work but he has none of those things

he has a come from behind TKO being down on all 3 cards against josesito lopez :beli:

however putting this on regular network TV would have cut down on the criticism..unfortunately thats not the case

breh, I used to be critical as hell of Floyd. but it comes a time where there is gonna be criticism regardless. its a cherry pick, but who more deserving than one at this stage. you wanted Pac and you got it. I am happy for Berto. and this is a fight that should be viewed as an unofficial tune up. the biggest reason people have an issue with this fight is because they think its his last. there wouldnt be nearly the amount of crying about it say if he announced this as a tune up fight for Thurman or some shyt.

maybe even winner of Cotto-Canelo. but you gotta remember.....he beat them already. the only guys of note he hasnt beaten around his weight class is Thurman and Khan. you cant really count Brook or Porter yet for different reasons and AB just lost so.....:manny:. If it was to be a more serious opponent than Berto for his "last" fight....the best choice wouldve been Swift.

also...I do think there is some value in him fighting a black fighter. remember when he fought Zab? Zab fresh off a loss and that fight still did well by those standards. its hard to get up and train to hurt someone, even more so to hit someone and not get hit back. that gets increasingly more difficult the older you get. while we may want him to fight the toughest guy out every time, I can see why they wouldnt want to. TBH, I dont see none of these dudes worthy of fighting the best fighter of this era. Why? because they won a worthless belt? or they have managed to compile an undefeated record.

really, the only nikkas I can say are even halfway deserving are Swift and Thurman. but people gonna say "Swift lost to Herrera and Peterson" or Thurman really aint fought nobody.....so there's no winning.
