@BFD19002956
Why was it Douyin and not rednote
5/60
@CarlZha
I saw this on Douyin. People often upload contents from other platforms

@Ojbk26216
I am a native of China who lives in China. Because many foreigners enter our domestic app, I will also take a look at your app.I'm not sure whether it's easy to buy organic vegetables and the price.

@jstephencarter
Chinese immigrate to America, not the other way around.
Have the TikTok generation who don’t hold passports ever thought about why this is?
8/60
@LauraMiers
“They can actually afford food” appears to be a popular refrain among Americans on 小红书
9/60
@PoweredByEcchi
I'm not surprised at all
Eggs at Walmart going over 12 dollars did not sit well with several customers
I grabbed my eggs and immediately stepped away from the area because it looked like a riot was going erupt at the eggs section

@LarfleezeTakes
I’ve seen people describe Rednote as Instagram for rich kids in China, so that should tell you something about the class of people you’re interacting with. They likely have higher-ranking family members in the CCP.

> grocery halls
Strange.
16/60
@kenneyy88
grocery hall?
17/60
@nailatrahman
Chinese people eat a lot of fresh fruits & vegetables which are plenty & cheap, and nobody goes hungry. That's due to deliberate Chinese govt policy assuring food security. It’s probably a huge shock to Americans who don’t have a functioning gov't that works for the people.
18/60
@Ffxivmarket
I want to see supermarket executives takes on these videos, anyone we can tag?
19/60
@MysteriousRan
这视频什么意思啊?来个懂得解释一下,是美国蔬菜和水果都很贵,还是他们觉得中国人都吃不起菜和水果?
20/60
@_patsu
Staged with bad acting and zero datapoint.
China shouldn’t need to orchestrate these meaningless campaigns.
21/60
@AustinDahu
Just bought a huge bag of 25 to 30 eggs for 2 USD hahaha, I feel vindicated moving to China a decade ago

Which makes you wonder when they let California burn down so some Billionaires can water their grapes but American commoners cant afford grapes unless they have like two jobs.
29/60
@chunqiuzhanguo4
Think about how to grow food quickly enough to feed 1.4 billion people. Think about it.

How many agencies screen my communication, damn it.

Banning TikTok is yet another instance of US government overreach that is going to fail in a spectacular, backfiring fashion.
37/60
@HuskMol56267
Someone was asking the price of chicken around the world, last week. Guess who had the highest prices. Germany, US, Canada and Australia. And they were all about the same price, with Germany being the most expensive and Australia being a few dollars less.

It’s the currency difference
48/60
@demonsrexis
If you still think it's 7.33 : 1, you may refer to your local food price for the true value of your currency.
49/60
@Long_Archer
i'm totally here for it.
[Quoted tweet]
I'm also on 小红书 (Little Red Book), a Chinese social media app. An American asked Chinese users whether their gov't enforces "social credit score" controls. Some said there's only financial credit scores like in the US. Most said the US gov't is lying to us about China.

Our grocery bill, our property taxes, home and car insurance, our family’s healthcare insurance, our children’s college education is constantly increasing and becoming unaffordable while our politicians keep sending billions and funding endless wars.
