Witcher 3 is still the best game of the year

I never said it was the best year ever. IMO The Witcher 3 and TPP are particularly high quality games that rise above the typical 90+ metacritc game

So far Witcher, mgs, persona, fallout, Bloodborne this year. This a good year. If fallout and persona wasn't coming out this year I'd agree with you.

There has only been Bloodborne, Ori, TW3 and TPP so far breh. Maybe put Fallout 3 and P5 in that category later on. Not bad in comparison to the last few years but far from stellar historically.

Have a feeling Halo and Fallout 4 are going to fall foul of the reviewers. Both might end up with mid 80s or lower. You missed Persona btw, number 4 got 90 on MC.

The combat was on point if you knew you were doing. No arcadey ass spamming attacks.

Finished the game on hard (or whatever was below nightmare) and it was nothing but button mashing. The dragon fights sum up how ass the combat is - 2 hours of you standing around button mashing with occasional healing as you kill this boring, one dimensional health sponge. Story and writing also very meh.

Okay, now I know you didn't play the game. You literally COULD NOT button mash in that game. The attacks didn't work that way. It's not a hack'n'slash type of game. A lot of your attacks worked on cool downs. What you are saying is not even an opinion it's just flat out wrong. Nothing else to discuss here. I'll just drop some of my gameplay vids.

I'm at varying levels of kickassery in these vids and I switched from a dagger rogue to a archer mid way through.
