If you need somewhere to go just for cardio and you're desperate..so be it. I just know the people in there and the environment was pure bs. These people weren't serious about working out and I enjoy going to higher end gyms for many reasons. People clean their machine usually and workers do to. I can charge my phone and walk away for hours and no one would steal it. Planet fitness has tons of robberies and smells like shyt and also has the lowest form of life in there since the price point is so low. I rather pay the premium in this instance

At the PF I went to they cleaned their machines. Also, ours were clean so However, they do have that junk food mess there.

I wouldn't recommend that gym to someone who isn't a beginner in every sense of the word.

Its where over weight people go to feel good about being over weight.

Im honestly surprised they still have free weights (dumbells) even tho a lot of newer locations don't have a proper squat rack or bench press (fukk the smith machine)

They had one by my old apartment in the semi hood, it was always flabby and sick people working out when I would walk past and look in the window. I went in there to sigh up

The owners of Planet Fitness have admitted this in so many words in several interviews. Its not meant for serious people but those who go to a gym on a whim after thinking "maybe I should work out " and then give up.

People who are serious about working out come everyday, use the machines which drives up maintenance costs, which in turns cost Planet fitness money. The do everything to discourage those people from coming. This is why they don't have dumbbells over a certain size, no squat machines and even have something called a "lunk alarm" if you make too much noise while working out.


Its a literal alarm that goes off if you make too much noise

Also their commercials let you know where they're coming from .

I STILL have a membership there Because it's cheap and I LOST a lot of weight there. However, I haven't been there in a year Anyway, when I go there every first of the month they have DONUTS AND PIZZA I thought this was suppose to be a weight loss place Man, they gonna keep these folks fat That's how they keep members too.
