To answer the OP's question; most men on the coli don't have baby mamas or kids. Dudes who are true deadbeats are just selfish males (it's what attracts women).

Why dead beat dads and single moms have increased in Western society overall in last half a decade would require an extensive review of social trends and changes in that timespan. Not ideally for the coli.

Too many variables but it mostly falls on the man . He knew he had 30 kids. He knew he couldn't take care of them. But he continued to make them. Did he advertise to the women he was a "baby maker"? Did he hit her yeah Janice got 12 kids, but only 2 of em mines. Again I contend if you have one and the nikka ain't shyt, ain't no need to have 2.
