i don't see whats wrong with windows 7 to need a windows 8. to me 7 is almost the perfect version of windows.

Nothing is wrong with 7 but you can upgrade to 8 for 40$ with more improvements under the hood especially for desktop users.

Heres a few

1. The up button is back for Windows Explorer
2. Better Task Manager
3. Better multi monitor
4. Faster OS
5. Bridges the gap between Tablets and PC

Not sure if you have a tablet but if you choose a Win8 tablet and you have a Win8 desktop both devices feel like one computer its pretty sweet.

The time flies by. This is no longer really a viable operating system. I don't want to let go of my WMC HD Homerun Prime setup but support in ending in weeks. Might be forced to move this PC to Windows 10. I can't even install the latest version of Calibre.
