Less teams actually meant the teams were more stacked

If we only had 12 teams in todays nba every team would be a super team damn near
Most the talent was trash and the path and chances of getting to the finals was much higher and easier imo.

you obviously cant call someone GOAT cause everything is situational

people are under-estimating Wilts power and finesse ... he was basically Shaq mixed with Hakeem

Russell fukking played as coach WHILE he was on the team :russ: and won doing that shyt

both dudes hardly used subs

Kareem is self explanatory, greatest shot of all time and most points... he was almost impossible to guard

any of these dudes including Jordan is a great fukking pick ... you would win with any of them

you're right shaq needed a sidekick just like duncan, jordan, lebron and every other #1 option in league history needed a sidekick and shaq benefited from having kobe as his sidekick. top 3 sidekicks of all time along with pippen and stockton
:blessed:
You trying way too hard to make it a Shaq v Kobe
Cringeworthy :scust:

The fact that kobestans can't follow the simple directions in the thread title is even more reason to throw their opinions in the :trash:

the ether
The point is....would Jordan have grown another 7-8 inches over the next 4 years without the advances in sports medicine, technology and training equipment ? That's why I listed him at 6'2 instead of his real height of 6'5-6'6.

Don't be ridiculous. Sports medicine technology and training equipment didn't add a single centimeter to Jordan's height in the freaking 1970s and early 1980s when he was growing up.

Wilt was basically Lebron in the body of center in terms of being a physical gift from God

If Wilt played today, with the modern science and training we have today, he'd average 40pts a game in his sleep

Why would he do that now, when basketball is popular and available to all and every team is full of big men who can move, when he could never do it with a 16 foot key even back when the league was full of 6'8" White guys playing center and basketball didn't have a tenth the popularity or talent pool it does today?

They moved the key out to 16 feet from just 12 feet (where Wilt could practically reach over and dunk without even stepping in the key) after Wilt's 5th season in the league. He never once averaged over 40ppg again, even though there were only like five Black guys over 6'9" in the whole league and half of them were stiffs.

With the way that centers are expected to move and do so much more today, with the way so many guys are picking up injuries so much faster by the time the playoffs come around, how do you know that Wilt's own injuries wouldn't have just come to him sooner?

How would a 25 year old Wilt not score 40 ppg today? He was considered among the strongest athletes in the world at the time at 260 lbs. Imagine someone 7'2 with that kind of athletic ability and strength with today's training and nutrition.

Because the key isn't only 12 feet wide anymore, because teams actually play defense now instead of just running up and down the floor shooting 140 times a game, and because the league isn't 80% full of White guys who are 90% under 6'8" anymore.

The myth of Wilt Chamberlain's unstoppable offense

What difference would race or being over 6'8 make if Wilt is 7'2 and among the strongest athletes in the world? How many 7 footers are there in the NBA today with actual ability?

Because, in a league full of white dudes under 6'8....how do you think Rudy Gobert would look?

In a league where the NBA champion center is Tristan Thompson, who'd be stopping Wilt from dominance today?

You're acting like Thompson was the driving force behind the Cavs :russ: Tristan is 6'10 too, the Lakers with Wilt lost to the Knicks who had 6'9 Willis Reed and 6'10" Nate Bowman playing C.
