I love what they all said

never knew jordan doesn't consider himself the best... or at least said so... and takes it as disrespect to say so, because he didn't play them

chamberlin saying how they changed the rules to stop him and changed them to help MJ

but Russell said something that I have ALWAYS said...it IS actually harder to win when there is only 8 teams... much harder.. just think of it right now

take the current NBA and delete 22 teams but none of the players. then take that pool of 450 players and put them on 8 teams, 15 a piece

we can start it at lebrons rookie year... i promise you no matter how you divide it up, one team ain't about to win no 11 times, with 8 in a row.. it'd be the damn all star game every night

GOAT REQUIREMENTS

1st: Requirement: Has to score over 70+ in a game with actual video proof

2nd requirement: Has to win a ring

3rd requirement: Has to have a Finals MVP

Hmmm, has anyone ever done all 3?
I hate you nikkas :heston:

explain... if the nba had 8 teams, it wouldn't have 450 players anymore correct?

if there were 8 teams would J.R. Smith even have a job? would any 9th rated or below player at his position even have a job?

no

let me flip it the other way... if the nba added 6 teams next year, where would they get the talent to fill them??

from nikkas who ain't good enough to be in the league right now

so would that be easier or harder to win, knowing you get to play 6 shyttier teams and about 90 shyttier players

Jordan failed to make the high school varsity team during his sophomore year.He was only 5'10 at the time.If this happened during the 1960's/70's,his would have probably quit.had Wilt played in the late 80's early 90's he would've been 7'4 280-300 pounds of pure muslce.Ain't noboday stopping that. Not Olajuwon, not Ewing, not Robinson, not Shaq.

The 5 greatest players of all-time imo in no order are Chamberlain,Jordan,Oscar-Robinson,James and Kareem.

Yet the punishment he took caused the league to change the ruleset to increase his longevity, which was my point, he wouldn't be able to play long with his style and handle the physicality.

The reason this argument isn't completely valid is because the Pistons style of play wasnt a mainstay of the entire league. This was a level aggression unique to the Pistons that they somewhat incorporated specifically for Jordan, to intimidate him. The level of physicality of two or three teams wasn't going to affect his longevity. Maybe his ability to make it to the Finals, but not longevity.

I can imagine Wilt being about to smack the shyt out of Jordan. It sounded like dude basically hated Kareem's guts his entire career for taking the title away from him, I can't imagine how he would feel about Jordan if he had more time to stew about it.

It's funny because wilt took kareem in as a teenager and showed him the ropes so to say. When you compete against people all that shyt goes out the window
