I've been playing games a whole lot less due to the declining quality of video games. If a game like Xenogears (basically the Illmatic of video games) came out tomorrow then I'll buy it and play it obsessive.

Not alot of you guys are into JRPGs but when Xenosaga 3 came out 6 years ago I played that shyt obsessively (to the point that I skipped school for several consecutive days). Even back then I wasn't much of a gamer.

Develop a game with a compelling story, entertaining characters, and engaging gameplay then I'll play it. I'm pretty much burnt out on military shooters (battlefield and call of duty aren't interesting to me anymore). Even Halo and Gears of War are becoming less interesting.

With all the advancements to gaming technology, we'll be living a 2nd life in virtual reality simulations

I doubt I'll be living in my 40's/50's, but if I am, most likely. Gaming is something that transcends all generations in my opinion.

Yep. Not in high volumes like before, but definitely will. I can see myself extra giddy to get a nice long session in if the wife goes out of town or something. I cop about 5-7 games a year now, so I'll probably continue at that rate. I have lost all desire for fighting games though. Big part of the fun in that was being in a room with 5 of your friends talking trash and passing the losing controller on to the next man. nikkas are too grown and busy to be doing that for 4 hours, and i don't find fun in playing the cpu or searching for random cats to fight online every 2 minutes

maybe....I mainly use games these days to relax and unwind....I don't watch TV aside from sports so fukk it.

I'll probably never stop buying games though. I got about 50 games for the ps3 and there's like 20 I haven't even popped in yet :leon:

Yeah same here.....to me these days a game has to be pretty good for me to fukk with it otherwise it's a waste of time to me.....back in the day I might slog through some wack shyt just to say I beat it but not anymore....if it's not doing it for me within the first hour or two it will get shelved with the quickness.

I have a feeling that most people who will be playing in those days will have super limited tastes like the older generation does in music.

Dudes will be half-bald with salt and pepper hair talking that "back in my day" and how they can't play a game unless it has certain qualities like these classic rock or old school R&B enthusiasts.

LOL Probably and I hope so, but to be honest I don't have the attention span for it that I used to, and I'm not even 25 yet, so we'll see..

I live in the United States
i mean us 80 babies grew up on video games. i know there's a stigma attached to grown men playing video games but i doubt if ill ever totally give it up. hell, most games are geared for adults anyway. im turning 30 next year and i have no intention on giving it up anytime soon. i guess we're gonna be the 1st generation of "old men" gamers :win:

I guess you'd be the first gen if there wasnt already nikkaz in there 40's and 50's who game hard NOW
I have an older brother and that nikka and al his friends game daily.
Why are all them nikkaz in there 40's
What tripped me out was recently I get an invite... sees my brother is already in the party.
Come to find out these dude game together everyday, I havent seen these dudes since I was a child... they live all over the country spread out. But they make time for each other and CODMW3.

So the short answer is, you more like the 2nd gen. But really the third gen. Im sure theres people still tryna beat records in donkey kong and pacman :hula:
