what is stopping 2k from making their own football game like they did before?
people were able to customize that & put in NFL rosters on APF2k8. they can put that out and get it similar to NFL teams, but why wont they?

Was buying Madden since the jump. Stopped at 12 because the features were not enough of a jump for me.

They can't do another APF2K game since EA bought the rights to the players that were in that game. They could release another football game with fictional teams, but do you think the average football gamer would buy it if they knew had to take extra steps to make the rosters accurate, when they could just buy Madden and play with their favorite teams/players immediately? That would be a losing battle for 2K, they're better off waiting for that NFL license.

Yea, if done right, the average football gamer would. That's why I was insisting on a partnership with Under Armour. UA would make that shyt complete IMO

I'm not saying 2K football is some shyt. It peaked a little at 2K1.. 2K2 was a beast too.. Maybe 2K3 it peaked. When 2K5 dropped they tried to compete with Madden which had a visual leap on PS2. Because of this, 2K Football didn't evolve the way I would of hoped honestly. I think its overratedthismufukka
I'm look over most of that rubbish you just spewed and say just this.....madden/ncaa games are not fun for me. I've played the demos and have watched them being played and I cannot enjoy them as I can 2k. Only thing 2k5 lacked was a deep playbook and animations( running animations, had a few collision problems and people would abuse dline stunt glitch). 2k8 added all of that into it's game but lacked a franchise mode for the "casual" gamer that needed that and weren't really into playing online. Other than those things and the nfl license, the gameplay was superior to any madden game to date....fukk what you heard. Have you played 2k5? Because I played madden 06 and it was shyt. That fukking cone, the "bubbly" running of defenders (even with the new collision engine or whatever they calling it, the players still slide all over the place). When I was playing 2k5 or 2k8, the players felt real breh. I felt I had control over the players. Each step, not bubbly locked animations which madden are full of. The graphics of 2k5 even for a fukking 9 year old game, are still excellent by today's standards. This is vick in only what, 480p?I'm not a fanboy of 2k. I just want them to create another video game. When they're were 989, Microsoft, Sega, Ea, Midway, etc making football games, it was awesome! I played the hell out of qb club 99 and played gameday often with my friends. The NFL has just ruined the fun for me of playing competitive "simulation" football games with my friends by offering the license up for bid in 2004. As said by an EA dev at the time, they were "shook" when 2k offered the game at 20 and shytted themselves because they saw then what 2k basketball has done to their live line now, was about to occur with their football as well. They probably gathered up all the hot interns and sent them over to taglibue office and fukked and sucked his dikk all night for that collateral over the bid price. fukk EA...I want my fukking football back because if it's 2k that makes it, it's no more madden for the "masses" and you and I fukking know it...

Madden 05 was nowhere near as advanced as 2K5. 05 was a great game but 2K5 was the first football game with a true qb pocket, ol/dl interactions, and a true running game. Madden had super Defenses, 30 yard passing pockets, and mario running. It didn't compare on the field. i still believe if 2K wouldn't have dropped the price so drastically because Madden was slaughtering them in sales we would still have two major football games instead of just Madden. the NFL had to feel like 2K was cheapening their brand be being so cheap.
in a way though i really don't see the issue as EA hasn't put out a basketball game in years and 2K basically ran them out of town there so there's only one hoop game too and since The Show is made by Sony there was only baseball from 2K.

It wasn't even close. I had madden 05 for ps2, my cousin sold me his Xbox with all his games with 2k5. First time I played it I was like wtf!...madden was waaaaaayyy behind in presentation it was ridiculous. It was as if they thought they could make the same game over and over and no one would notice...which unfortunately they were doing and are still doing. 2k5 was on some next shyt, not perfect by any means but man what a shame. I couldn't compell myself to buy another madden Cuzz 2k5 kept me busy for a long time. Madden is a joke its a sad story.
NFL2K series had every right to drop that price and scare EA shytless. Glad that 2kGames ran EA outta making b-ball games as a whole.
