Well it’s still true. Latinos are the true swing voters. Democrats can’t only win with black voters. They outnumber us.
We also saw that it's time for dems to stop thinking they can treat other groups like black people. They treat black people like children at best, sheep at worse...and it's increasingly clear Hispanics are NOT fukking with that. They also keep allowing some of the most out of touch east coast Hispanics imaginable to dictate their policies. Obama took zero damage while having a pretty normal/hard stance on immigration. Why dems allowed activists to let them turn this issue into a circus, I'll never understand. If Biden had walked into office and implemented the changes he made a few months ago that cut crossings/engagement on the border, dems would be better off. They'd still lose due to price increases, but would have diffused immigration.

I dont know why you and I argue so much. we agree functionally on a lot politically.

I’ve been saying this forever. Dems should make a dirty break with trans issues and immigration and kamala basically wins.

They let emotional activists guilt trip people into this corner of rejecting common sense.

Just like the defund the police shyt.

But hey, we’re gonna learn...

See I disagree on that. She could have won in a normal climate where prices aren't fukking people. Nobody cares enough about the trans stuff to change elections, and while immigration hurt it was moreso the marriage of that alongside the high prices. It simply wasn't sustainable and I was 100% wrong on the election: the polls were right. Prices drove people who wouldn't have normally voted for Trump (younger people, more woman than expected, etc) to him. Likewise, Trump's behavior drove some people who normally wouldn't have voted for a democrat (seniors) to support Harris. It was a weird election.

My girl is Mexican and her grandma been sick ever since the election. She hates Trump as does most of my girl's fam. But they know plenty of Mexicans who voted for him based solely on the election. A lot of Hispanic men who either own blue collar businesses (landscaping, roofing, etc) or work for those businesses and feel the sting of prices rising. And they're betting the criminals get targeted ahead of regular tax paying illegals. The problem is that Trump doesn't give a fukk and as we saw in 2017 he will outright try to harm people whenever he takes a loss. Court decision against him? Bill fails? Bad news story? You can look it up, all that shyt was constantly followed by him immediately trying to hurt Muslims or immigrants or NATO or whatever.

That Trump trans ad moved Trump 3 points in the polls bro. c’mon now

plus the economy is fine, but people on IG think they should be balling out and think they’re broke. dems stay chasing voter sentiment instead of setting reality.

AOC would get crushed before even making it through the primary. No way that ever happens.

I'm not gonna say that America would never vote a woman as their president. But it would take a certain type of woman to get the nod. Think Margaret Thatcher of the UK. And that type would naturally come from the Republican party

Yes they absolutely should.

If they want to get crushed in 2028.

Go for the terrible female choice trifecta: Hillary; Kamala, AOC  .

They had Tulsi in the lineup but let HillRod pull out the media against her.

To be fair though she has a large follower base on social media and more of them will be able to vote or be more mature and think about voting. So to be fair, she is probably Top 10 on 2028 and 2032 DNC radar....so a decent contender for Pres/VP.

I do believe this is simple sexism at this point.

Sad to say but Dems need to stick to regular degular white guy. Straight, married, protestant.

As we just saw, America is not progressive. Even vs an unintelligent madman.
