I believe Smash hasn't shown up due to the toxic community and some of the notable people doing heinous stuff. So, I believe Nintendo pulled them.

I think if there's demand, then Sony won't block a Microsoft or Nintendo game being at the event. Plus KI being allowed to have an exhibition event must mena they're open to them and other non Sony games at event
