I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Wow...you took me back. I remember getting those.

The marketing for the WWW was crazy. I remember seeing shyt everywhere for that movie.
Repped for this...you took it back

I remember those things were too small. I'd put them on and I'd be seeing half sunglasses and half of the light that sunglasses tried to block.:heh: But yeah Burger King went all out for WWW. They had those burgers and kids meals too.

And thanks for the rep @Zero and @Mantis Toboggan M.D. :salute:

EDIT - One other funny story - I remember a lot of my friends buying tickets to see WWW and then sneaking into South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. :russ:

He's right, the movie wouldn't have been the same Matrix we know and love just with Will Smith instead

Look breh,...

If keanu was in bill and ted.
While will was the fresh prince.

Will could have made it work in whatever stretch keanu did.
from bill and ted and surfer boyfriend eighties stereotype in steve martin lead parenthood movies as well.

Not to mention in that time val kilmer was more edgy than will smith.
Kilmer was a good on screen cast up to and after the salton sea.
So he could have worked opposite of kilmer. Or smith could have been smart and hired fishburne himself as an alternative. It was just poor judgement.

He made the right decision turning it down

:mjlol:

yall may say Keanu fit the Neo role and that its hard to picture Will Smith playing it, and that Laurence Fishbourne was the perfect Morpheus, but from a personal point of view, how the fukk can anyone say Will made the right decision turning down The Matrix? the whole point of this video/story even existing is that in hindsight, that was a crazy decision

yall crazy

The man himself has said for years that he was wrong for that role, nothing more needs to be said :manny:

I don't know why people act like Will wouldn't have been good in the role.

He wasn't "WILL SMITH" in Enemy of the State a movie that came out just a year before The Matrix. He can do serious. Even during the height of his fame.

This.

nikkaz really buggin cause real talk.
Will was scared to be the alien guy.

When he was the six degrees of separation gay guy at that point.
as well as the fresh prince.
So he needed to be neo tbh.
Especially at that point in exact time.

No one is saying he cant act.... No one is saying he can't be serious. THeyre just saying he might not have been perfect for the role. Every character was perfectly cast and they had great chemistry and screen presence, thats why It became a cult classic.

Would Will and Val Kilmer have had the same chemistry as a Keanu and Lawrence? Would Carrie Ann moss be trinity or would they have chosen someone else to play his love interest instead? would that dynamic have worked out the same? Realistically we probably wouldnt have even viewed the matrix the way that we currently do if Will was Neo, alot would have changed and it may not have had that same lasting effect. Keanu was born for the role, dude was perfect. Will might not have been able to capture those subtleties that made the character iconic.
