He turned down a billion dollar franchise that would have been even bigger with him in it

:francis:

Or he would have made a mess of it, the decision worked out for everybody. I don't know why people can't accept this when the man himself knows that wasn't the role for him

Wild Wild west was one of my first times being disappointed in a movie as an adolescent.

It's sad that the only good thing we can say about a movie is that it showed Salma Hayeks cheeks :dead:

Will crushed me again a few years later with Men in Black 2.

Really his career has all been downhill since post Enemy of the State IMO.

Had a short, but hot peak. kinda like 50 cent

Just exemplifies how important the pitch meeting is in Hollywood. You could have the best script in the world but if you don’t know how to properly sell the concept then it’s dead

Say bruh I got an idea for a film, you're some regular dude at work then some breh's in suits chase you around, then you take a pill from a swagged out breh not molly or anything, then you go inside a computer system, then you learn kung-fu nah not learn it but it gets downloaded to your brain and when you fight you stay in mid-air and the camera spins around, you know like how Michael Bay does it but the camera goes all the way around......You interested

I'm so mad yall in here running with this narrative that Will tha GAWD wouldn't have killed the Matrix!!! The man said it himself, back then every shot he was taking was going in and think about it the one movie he did instead WWW everybody thinks is garbage....yea he should have done the Matrix.

Look i LOVE the Matrix as much as the next man, but yall looking at this thru the lens of hindsight...ie since we've seen Keanu in the role be good that no one else could have done the role justice. I would have loved to see a blk man in that lead role and also there is no guarantee Kilmer wouldn't have still turned it down and so you would have potentially had Will, Laurence Fishburne and Jada leading the cast....hell maybe they had someone blk in mind for Carrie-Anne Moss' role too. shyt would have been great and i also contend that maybe Will went on to do Hancock because he missed out on his blk superhero hit movie role by turning down the Matrix and having that regret.

Now THATS the one that would keep me up at night. Will coulda played the hell out of that role (Leo did fantastic before you undercover white boys start crying) Inception is one of my favorite flicks ever
I just wish Will worked with more GREAT directors.

Hyped for Gemini Man because he's working with Ang Lee.
