Yup. When the defense calls their case is when the shyt will really get real. Fuller isn't going to get real deep into it while it's still on the prosecutions time, which is why he's been subtly alluding to shyt. This dude is picking these witnesses apart one by one smh....
Dude is a bad man...
That witness that seen BC get into the G Wagon, I wonder if Fuller will call him up...If so, that may be night night for the state....
Brehhsss

Just feeding the idea of a cover up won't get Hayes off with this jury IMO. I suspect he has been subtly alluding to these things for a reason and it will come out when the defense presents their case.Hard to tell if Fuller's setting traps or just simply trying to feed the idea that a cover-up isn't far fetched and would have been fairly easy to pull off.
Here's the thing. Because it's a former cop it can't just be their word against his. He must have a photo of old boy getting into that g wagon at some point. You don't just openly rake a former cop through the shyt based off the word of another person, but Fuller's been hinting at how the cops haven't been checking video nor following up with folks that have video this whole trial. If he drops a bomb that someone has a pic of this cat going through the g wagon this whole trial is done.
Hard to tell if Fuller's setting traps or just simply trying to feed the idea that a cover-up isn't far fetched and would have been fairly easy to pull off. He's already established the motive for doing so by having multiple witnesses talk the importance of protecting Smith's legacy to go along with highlighting the incompetence of an investigation that was seemingly working toward a predetermined conclusion.
The difficulty for the defense in this case is the implication, the idea that a police department would conspire like this is a difficult bridge to cross for most people.
I think in other cities that might be an issue, put in New orleans even the locals pretty much accept they have one of the most openly and historically documented corrupt police forces in the nation.
