Will Smith is a LEGEND who didn't have to become somebody else to be successful. Em is a junkie who changes his name yearly.

Um what? Will Smith is a LEGEND who didn't have to become somebody else to be successful. Em is a junkie who changes his name yearly.![]()
I still can't remember for the life of me what song that was where Will was cataloging shyt like his wife (jada), car (bently), watch (rollie) ect. And here comes em with "i'll shyt on you"
I'll shyt on you
ya life, ya wife ya kids ya car
ya house, ya spouse, ya rings, ya things
Breh, profanity is profanity. It's even worse if we're going to justify it for film and not music because that means he'll do anything for a paycheck, which includes so called cursing. He could just as well accept roles that don't use any.
There's a time and a place for profanity (see: fukk the Police). When Tipper pulled off that phyrric victory and got the parental discretion adviced label approved, the amount of unnecessary cussing jumped. I don't know of any of Will and Jazzy's albums where they intentionally put out both 'Clean' and 'Dirty' versions, which would have been a very big deal back in the late 80s and 90s. The one song everybody talks about Will cussing in, is this one:
(is there an uncensored version out there, 2:52?)
Anyway, world of difference between Will dropping a single F-bomb nearly 3 minutes into a political song, and somebody like Drake's use of profanity. Will's grandmother was right; if you can find a way to communicate without profanity, use it. That became Will and Jazzy's uniqueness, their niche, in a sea of fools who thought they were going to make more money and get more clout by cursing. It worked.
Will using a couple damns as an actor in After Earth is being true to the character of the father, for punch, not being gratuitous. Maybe he shouldn't have. I don't see him as a hypocrite for it, just like I don't see Cube as being a hypocrite for doing family movies now but that's a whole nother discussion.
Tell the director/producer I won't cuss in any scripts and expect to work in Hollywood brehs.
I'm going to dap you because, thinking back on it, who else legitimately held the title of King of Summer for both movies and pop album singles during a 10 year period? Will isn't a Nasir or a Tupac or an LL or a Rakim, but he's on another level of GOATness in a different lane. Will does deserve his props, and his place.fresh prince >>>>>>>
will is the GOAT yo... real talk...

Em was upset about Will Smith’s speech at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards, where he said, “See? I got a successful album, and I didn’t have to curse off or talk about violence.” Em felt personally dissed by the comment
I used to respect Will Smith. [Now] he’s dissed the whole genre of rap. He dissed gangsta rap music. And that is one of the most influential musics out there…Not everybody sees life as happy and as positive as he sees it.
Eminem personally had the edited version of this song make loud beep noises when he says “fukk” in these two lines; most edited versions go silent to make the censorship less noticeable. He wanted to make censoring music look as ridiculous as he can.
DJ Jazzy Jeff recently shed some light on how where this Em/Will mini-beef all started. Apparently Jazz played Em’s twisted version of Will’s “Just the Two of Us”, and Will made a comment that Em didn’t take too kindly to. So Em felt the need to respond to Will not just to stick up for the genre of gangsta rap, but for himself personally.
Will wasn’t too offended, although he did make a casual reference to the diss on “Mr. Niceguy”. But don’t you find it ironic that Will curses in films but not in his music?

Look at you c00ns siding with the white man.![]()
Cube isn't speaking out against the type of music he used to (and still does) do either. If y'all can't see the obvious hypocrisy in what Will criticized Eminem for doing and what he does in movies, then I'm not sure what to tell you. I assure you, it is hypocrisy though.
Will's character didn't die in the movie
Or were you talking about him being emotionless?
No, Cube isn't; others are doing it for him. Cube grew up, but some folks still can't reconcile the young man he was in 1987 to the father he is in 2014. Besides, Will didn't start out criticizing Marshall alone; Will was a success in the game before Marshall dropped that lame ass (but illuminating) 'Foolish Pride' bull. If Marshall wanted to take it personally, that's on the white boy. Marshall started the shyt, not Will.
c00nnikka, the motherfukka could be green. Who gives a fukk about Eminem? We're talking about Will Smith, simple ass nikka.
