What direction do you think Dre will go in musically after Missionary? And what direction would you prefer him to go?

dre's always made his best music with his back against the wall,

feedback from people around Dre and peers said they had what people wanted from that soundscape similar to what everyone knows him for and wanted

but snoop , dre and jimmy went in another direction

but the material is there

he needs 2 tap into the kurrent scene of young heads makin noise in the streets of LA and have some fun with it and not over think it

shake up the producers he has around him , maybe even just get in the studio without any outside influeces

For me to be excited about a Dre project again he'd need to hunt down Storch, Elizondo, Colin Wolfe, Daz, Warren and Xenu.

add sam sneed up in there...those focus... fredwreck etc. projects ..aint it..

Thing is, he got a million of these kinds of joints in the vault, but he won't put them out. They're old to him, but it would be new for the people. He keeps doing this over-produced sh*t today, but it doesn't sound right.

thing about real great generational artists is moreso than simply making stuff that sounds good, they steer and direct the musical landscape.

even if he drops a decent lost tapes type dr dre album it'll still be further revelation that he isnt what he has been advertised as for the last few decades (as compton and missionary reinforced)

is he capable of playing a part in making some decent music? Possibly

but is he capable of living up to the corporate mythology of the great dre dre. Hell no.

i expect him to quietly fade away.

even at his age he had the ball in his court for that album to have a strong simmer for an extended amount of time... all it needed was good reception cause he had the attention . it didn't even need "hits".
