:RVD: Not a bad idea. Movies suck nowadays anyway.
I hate to say this, but Will Smith thought the rules didn't apply to him, mostly ALL of his successful movies are films in which he fits a stereotypical role expectant of a "black guy". Even Hancock, one of Smith's first attempts at open interracial relationships on film (besides Hitch), did exceptionally well because of the racial undertones encoded in the film (stay away from white women). But "Focus", is the horrible reality of race which Hancock turned into a "fun film", which is that the world doesn't accept a handsome powerful black man with an equally beautiful and powerful white woman by his side. Unfortunately it's "unnatural" because we haven't evolved as a human race.
However, 50 Shades of Grey, which features two very mediocre performers, with careers to match is a box office success. And it's about a man with emotional issues, sexually abusing his sadomasochistic "virgin" girlfriend".
A white man can have sex with eight foot tall aliens and save their planet and it's more acceptable than a handsome black man and an attractive white woman being seen as sexual equals. Low key, about a year ago there was rumors Twilight's Kristen Stewart turned down the role because Will Smith was black.

film looked boring, but it should of done numbers . Edge of tomorrow tom cruise looks like it had a better storyline . And leo doing big things . After earth and Focus aren't bad don't know why the movies he is in are flopping .

I just saw Focus yesterday. Pretty damn good movie in my opinion.
Few exceptions but yeah. 2 weeks in a row I've struggled to think of anything worth me going to the movies for and I hate that feeling. Help me Obi Wan Furious 7, you're my only hope
Just make better movies, or follow the path things are already going on. Keep big budget event films (marvel, dc, star wars, pixar, transformers) to theaters, and push everything else to on demand. Save some on the marketing budget, cut down the theater cut, have more room to take chances with the stories.
Movie theater experience is shyt now anyways. I can't even go to an 11am sunday showing of something without people making noise or bringing babies. I'd rather be at home for any kind of movie except the ones i mentioned above.

Hollywood box office superstars are only dying because Hollywood has desperately tried to push a bunch of uncharismatic buff white dudes on us for years. Guys who don't have an ounce of screen presence, can't emote and lack the single most important thing for stardom, likability.
Chris Pratt is on his way though. In fact, if he becomes the new Indiana Jones, he's pretty much there.
