Breh you have to look at it from the persepctive of the bench mark of today;

Muiltiple air max shoes.

And for them to do a USA Olympic collection (Pack) - Ahead of their time.

I personally thought that out of their huge catalouge for that year these were commercially their stand out shoes.

I'd love to see some AM 96 retros in different colorways.

Agreed about Vapormax, I'm not a fan either. The 2090s are my favorite of the new Air Maxes

And they've been retroing the Air Max Plus 3s which are hard, but they're 30 more dollars than the regular Pluses for some reason.

But what made some of the 90s designs really pop was starting from scratch

Allegedly the 95 was inspired by the human body for instance, and it looke nothing like the Air Max 94s. The official Air Max year models of late just look the same more or less, just with the swoosh in a different place

Right. So it was largely a fresh design instead of a modification of the prior.

I'm sure the tech has gotten better, but as far as appearance I much prefer the 90s silhouettes. I don't think any of their recent running shoes look as nice as the AM95.
