I got some Ben Salagas, breh
The only issue is these hypebeasts have created a market where Nike, etc can create artificial scarcity and now try charging 120+ for kicks that we used to pay 60 for..... disgusting..... got me looking at replicas now...Not even gonna lie, the game got saturated. I just stick to classics now
Right, but the kids are rocking them because they can't afford designer.Wrong. Balenciaga took their designs. Not the other way around.
I buy my sneakers at Ross sirSome of you clowns on here have nothing but Jordans and Panda Dunks in your collection.
Not even. shyts is wavy and comfortable. Birkenstock's is in right now as well.Right, but the kids are rocking them because they can't afford designer.
Literally. Asics and New Balance didn't start to catch on with the black youth until rappers started wearing shoes that resembled them. Not even. shyts is wavy and comfortable. Birkenstock's is in right now as well.
The "dad" shoes started with Ye with the Waverunners. Me and my boy from Harlem specifically started rocking the Asic Keyano 14s like 3 years ago and we did some photo shoots n shyt with them on and all of a sudden we start seeing certain rappers wearing the exact same ones. Asap Rocky the first rapper I seen with the Keyano 14s. And even that was after me and my boy was rockin em. Also that's another point I wanna make. Rappers wear the Asics and NBs as well so I def don't think it's about them being affordable versions of Balenciaga. Balenciaga literally stole Skechers whole design and u still don't see nikkas rockin the Skechers. LolLiterally. I understand real sneakerheads been rocking Asics and NB in their collection for a minute, but the dad shoe/dad hat phenomenon started with designer brands. I'm not saying designer brands are the originators, but they are the reason why the og's have a spike in popularity right now. But it's a fad thats going to run it's course like the addidas/yeezy fad. They always come back to the swoosh and the jumpman when the fad ends. The "dad" shoes started with Ye with the Waverunners. Club C's for lifeNew Balance and Asics only hot right now because they resemble designer shoes like Balenciaga. As soon as that fad runs its course they gonna be right back rockin Jordans.
