I Dont Think People Are Getting The Point Of Google Music
Google is not going to focus on desktops apps heavily, it doesn't really make sense for them to do so really. What is this? Like an Android iPod Touch? If so, I'm not interested in having another device to carry around. That's the major advantage to Google Music, for me....I don't have to take up space on my phone for Music which I rarely use (and then, of course, being able to access it across multiple platforms).
Almost the only time I use an MP3 player is in my car...and it stays in my glove compartment and I control it from the head unit.
I'm not gonna stop using iPods, and neither will 90% of the population. I use an iPod, cuz that's what my Alpine has an interface with.
If Google just developed a competent desktop program, they could cut HEAVILY into iTunes market share in the MP3 buying game. They're fukking up here.

They need to do it on mobile first. That's what is importantIt makes sense if they want to unseat iTunes as the number 1 music platform...which is something they CAN do.

How?
Y'all just making shyt up at this point.
Let me try to explain this again:
I've been using iTunes for nearly a decade now. I have an iPod Classic that I mainly use in the car (this is how I listen to music 90% of the time), and an iPod Nano that I use in the gym (how I listen to music 8% of the time).... Streaming with Google Music would only be used 1% of the time.
When I, uhh, acquire music, I add the file to the folder, and then to iTunes, then add individual songs to playlist(s) if applicable.
My complaint is that I don't want to have to do this for Google Music as well. Especially since I keep my music on an external hard drive, and I almost always have to fight with it to automatically upload into Google music so that it even recognizes the new music.
And the metadata issue which I'll post examples of in a sec...
If I could get one program that handles both cloud music and physical storage I'd be
I imagine iCloud does this, but it ain't free, thus not worth it, since I'd only use the cloud portion 1% of the time.
Make sense?
Did you bother reading my complaints?
Nah, you just came in here desperately trying to cape up for Google, smh
From all appearances Google has no intention on ever creating a desktop application....they've fallen too much in love with the cloud. I'm not convinced it will ever get there.
wtf would I make that up for. Did you download the 'Google Play Music Manager' for your desktop? There is an option that says "Automatically upload songs added to Itunes". Idiot.

Download/install google music manager, specify itunes as your music source, specify entire library or only playlist to upload, and let it do it's thing.
I swear I really think some of you nikkas are borderline retarded when it comes to technology.
They don't need a desktop application when it can just use itunes. Everything you do in itunes Google Music will replicate.
I'm saying. This nikka is getting mad because he's using the service wrong and don't wanna listen. Google Music been for me. Greatest shyt ever.
It need not be either or....but they're not even doing it on mobile right.
Like when I pick an album on my phone, it won't even play the damn songs in order
Obviously I downloaded the music manager, that's the only way to get music in there...but it ain't operating as y'all described... I'm bout to just try to start over...I'll take the L for user error, I just want it to be fukking useful
Again that's not Googles fault. The problem is you never tagged your music yourself and did it within ITunes so when you try to upload it on google music of course it's gonna be fukked up and songs not play in order. I dumped iTunes a long time ago bc it kept tagging my music fukked up. Like I said earlier it's a pain in the ass but worth it to download a music tagging program and tag all of your music yourself before uploading it to any music platform.
Dudes already told you. Check the iTunes box and every song you put into iTunes get upload to Google music automatically. It get stored in the cloud. Same shyt as making a dedicated Google music software.

Nah, it's Google's fault. I know the music is tagged properly cuz when I pull it up in the browser it has the songs in order. It's when I try to play an album on my phone that it plays out of order. And Google should have some way of at least viewing this in a list format so I can see what's tagged improperly with ease...I hate this "album flow" format...just list the damn tracks.
With that said, it appears that it may've been user-error in terms of iTunes synching so I'll reserve judgement til I fix that
