I watched that entire era and I don't ever feel like Jericho was THE GUY for more than 2 months tops. They didn't give him long reigns.
I think it's crazy to say Punk isn't an all time great for the same reasons that you could apply to Jericho such as not being a "big draw", and not being seen in the company as "the guy" etc.

Nobody had long reigns back in those days...only person who held the WWE belt for a longer period than Jericho from 2001-2002 was Stone Cold...and he was injured for some of that time. WCW Belt Jericho held the longest. Aside from that...he was in plenty of main events...and when he wasn't...he was usually the 2nd to last match on the card. And if he was neither...he'd be in a Ladder match or a Hell In a Cell...so he was constantly in the biggest matches on the card. He constantly had a belt weather it be IC...Tag...WCW...WWF...Undisputed...etc.
Punk will be an all time great regardless of if he was in the weakest era of modern wrestling...but he aint touchin Y2J or HBK regardless of if he's the man or not.

Don't think so. I'm a big Punk fan but you're asking him to pass three of the greatest guys to ever have been in the business. Ain't gonna happen. You could possibly argue that he could eventually surpass Jericho, but definitely not HBK and King Kurtis.

I stopped watching wrestling a minute ago. I've watched CM Punk here and there. Is he really that good to be compared to Jericho, Angle, and HBK?

seriously.people are forgetting how good angle was, from his rookie year all the way through angle was a excellent and only got better.
angle got all time great matches, moments, promos and did it with the big dogs, cm punk - year + long reign and ppl are still making excuses for him and blaming booking and cena.
angle got jobbed out to cena numerous times, the excuses need to stop.
