Well, black people will never be equal in the eyes of the white man on a human level, but financially we could. Black people need to stop with that bible shyt. "Turn your cheek when the enemy hits you kumbya shyt".

If black people realized the power that we have and became more clannish and worked towards fixing the problems in our community then we'd be equal. Just look at how the brightest of our community go and work for white people when they make it. What if they'd create their own companies and hire other blacks? Maybe someday if a good portion of our people wake up.

What's the definition of equality? If its based on laws, abilities and opportunities available then it's possible. However, if we're talking about views and opinions of none black ppl then who knows. What does it take to change the hearts of men? If the aforementioned statement came to fruition, yet the opinions of ppl remained the same then it would prob greatly negate the"equality" since those in position to enforce the laws, provide the opportunities would find ways to not do so do to their mentality.

I also feel black people play a part (tho not as big as other elements yet a vital role) in our inequality. Many black ppl fight a notion of inferiority when dealing with others especially white. If we are preoccupied with fitting in and gaining acceptance how gain we focus and build on the things necessary for us as a collective group to reach equality? (self-pride, economic gains that benifit family and community as well, family building that includes passing on the views and values that build upon the progress of the parents etc.)

Lastly with black ppl not being a monolithic group how can we achieve equality when our views on it vary just as much as our complexions? They're may be many black ppl who feel we've already reached equality whereas many may feel we've gotten no where.

Really?

From slaves to teachers, doctors, entertainers, barbers, engineers, The President.

Black people have done an amazing job with the cards we've been dealt.
Lol blacks are slaves...that's the problem, because we have a few rich entertainers and athlete's.. We think were making progress

the goal should be empowerment, not equality...

we gotta think of the word race literally, like running a race....

black folks are way behind in that race right now

because if all the chips were equally stacked, i think black people would blow everyone else out of the water in most areas....

we gotta build up some resources to pass down to the next generation, so they got something tangible to compete with....

Equality of opportunity, to the best ability that man could ever hope to achieve, sure. Equality of outcome with all groups, no.
