I'm not denigrating your taste, it's just "the best non-superhero movie" is a weird statement to me, as if you're insinuating the only good films this year have been superhero ones. I mean I've probably only seen one of those [Deadpool 2] and it wasn't particularly good.

Went to the 12:30 showing and it was a good flick. My only gripe is I wished they would've gave us a better backstory on Paperboi and his breh.

The movie is out so if someone comes in here and it gets spoiled, that’s on them.



How could she not know? She had a baby for Liam’s character and obviously knew she was pregnant for him.



Jamal wouldn’t have, but no telling what his little brother would have done. Remember Mulligan told his dad he’s about to die anyway when they had that argument before meeting with Viola’s character? Mulligan might have been planning on having his father killed by his own people after the robbery and framing Jamal.

Nah Avengers and Black Panther, this year has been filled with great television for me not great movies. A lot of shows pushing the boundaries with great writing and acting but very few movies of the same volition

In terms of non-comic book movies, I would put this above Black KKKlansman, A Star is Born, Sicario, Game Night, Halloween, Creed II, and Bohemian Rhapsody, Oceans 8, Fantastic Beasts, and Bad Times at El Royale

I think it's right on par with Hereditary, Searching, Overlord, The Hate U Give, Instant Family, and Mid-90s

But in my opinion it still ranks below Sorry to Bother You, Juliet Naked, Won't You Be My Neighbor, A Quiet Place, RBG, Eighth Grade, and Liyana
