The battle to be Death was bullshyt, Sabretooth had adamantium & demolished Wolvie in their previous fight... He did lobotomize him but it only made him stronger... If I remember correctly the masamune death was just a clone Romulus made...

It doesn't change the fact Logan admitted he holds back when it comes to former allies.
Wolverine struggles with but tries to adhere to the Bushido code of honor. Sabretooth is a representation of what he was afraid of becoming. Wolverine may be prone to berserker blood lust but his hatred of it has prevented him from going full force.
Sabretooth has always wanted Wolverine to go full dark side so he continued to instigate shyt with him.

Chris Claremont originally intended to make Wolverine Sabretooth's kid - so he could smile like a proud dad, watching his only son that made it.
Sabretooth obviously sees Logan as a fan, a phony, a fake, a p*ssy, a Stan.

I know canon is canon, doesnt mean it cant be stupid... adamantium Sabretooth destroyed Wolves casually, thats canon too, so I do blame the writers for it... I think Sabretooth wanted Wolves to kill him & go darkside & thats why it never happened...
Didn't they have Wolverine cut his head off once? He popped the claw in his head before everything got stuck and frozen at the end of Legion's Quest but I thought for sure he cut his head off one time.
