Why were white kids not clowned at school for wearing dirty shoes?

From my experience, if a white kid was in a predominately Black/Hispanic school, it was automatically assumed they were poor white trash. But I understand the sentiment. My grandmother damn near told me to go fukk myself when I wanted some Jordans. "You want to get fukked up and have your shyt stolen? My money isn't for you to be flashy anyway." I still got harassed by kids who had way less than me. Ended up in a nerd clique with kids whose parents thought the same way.

I went to a black high school and the few white people that went there for roasted
There was one white curl that everybody was cool with and another white girl that people didn’t mess with because she was a likable person. We had a white dude that graduated with us that disappeared after graduation and when we saw him later in life he looked like a serial killer.

There is only 5.7 million students enrolled in private schools in the entire country. Which is only 10% of kids in school. 90% are in public schools.

Grew up in an upscale neighborhood. White people clown, but they played a game that black people couldn’t play.
At the private school I went to, almost everybody had money. So trying to clown someone for how they dressed meant nothing when the person you’re clowning father is a partner at a big law firm or CEO. So the antagonizing was around where one vacationed or where your family had a summer house, type of car you drove, the caliber of colleges you were applying to, etc.
The black people that were bussed in from Austin, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Chicago, and who couldn’t afford to live in our suburb, they were the ones that were roasting all the time about clothes, shoes, etc.
However, they couldn’t play the game the whites were playing, so they had to play a game that they could play. And the white kids just dismissed them all as scholarship and welfare kids.
White people will dismiss black people solely off skin color.
Because we’re all black, we can’t use race, so we become microscopic and dismiss based off of height, hair texture, skin shade, skin moisture level, clothes, shoes. We critique more surgically.
And I would argue that’s more insidious.
You can be black and a prep, nerd, athlete, goth, or whatever, and white people will just see black, which means you have more freedom to be who you are because they don’t see who you are.
Whereas black people will reject you because they see who you really are. If you’re a goth, you get rejected. If you are a prep, you’re a c00n, if you’re into anime, you’re a nikka nerd, if you’re poor and don’t have the latest fashions you get dissected apart.
We notice the differences, white people dont. And I would argue that it stifles individuality and is more harmful.
