Why were white kids not clowned at school for wearing dirty shoes?

In my experience it's usually because they weren't poor and you knew their parents had money.

It was always the bummy less flashy white kids at my school whos parents owned their own homes and went on holiday 3x a year.

They didn't need to flex when they were already living the good life

This is the correct answer.

To them it was no big deal nor did they care what people thought or had to say about it.

Only black kids only cared about what another kid had on his feet. shyt was and still is truly disturbing.

It was bad, but brehs got carried away with this from the early 90s onwards with the LA Gear and Jordans.

Hate it when materialism and superficial values are pushed so hard on young black kids, as the standard.

Not true. When I was in elementary and junior high school that was mixed between black and mexicans, mexicans clowned on other mexicans who came to school looking bummy. White kids do the same too but instead of it being Jordan's, it was those clothing brands that cacs wore like Abrecombie and Fitch.

Kids will clown on other kids clothes regardless of race. :yeshrug:
