See a few of you keep talkin about the fight scenes and for me personally they just didn't do it for me.

I swear to god the first time I saw the trailer for Amazing Spiderman 2 I was in legit :ohhh: mode. I never saw a movie do Spiderman like that. The Raimi movies were great for their time but none of them captured the awe and power of Spiderman the way this one did. I know it's just a trailer and I know the movie is gonna blow (it looks like the Spidey version of Batman Forever :mjlol:) but I can't front it look and feels like a Spiderman comic come to life.

MOS never did that for me and it's a shame because if you've ever seen me post here you'd know Supes is my favorite superhero. And with all due respect to the other superheroes none of them have the potential for such mindblowing action and mindblowing visuals as Superman does. Remember we're talking about the most powerful superhero of them all (relax nerds I'm speaking figuratively) so there's no reason why I should be more amazed watching an Iron Man movie as I am a Superman movie. There's no reason why I should be more amazed watching a CAPTAIN AMERICA movie than I am a Superman movie.

MOS had some intense action but it wasn't done gracefully. You never felt the impact or sensed the awe of what was happening. Compare it to that first fight scene between Batman and Bane in TDKR where there's so much less happening on the screen and yet it feels 10x more powerful. MOS looks and feels like a video game in comparison.

I'm still waiting for that movie to come along to really display Superman in all his glory and make people actually go "wow" like they did back in 1978. A movie that not only captures your heart but one that really makes you feel the wonder and POWER of Superman. Like when you watch Avengers you really FEEL the power of Hulk in that movie. Superman should come off like 10x as powerful. When he punches something it should sound like ten fukkin m80's went off at once. When he takes off to the skies it should sound like a rocket just took launch.

Snyder never took me back to that feeling of being 3 and being in awe of watching a man fly.

This is just not true bruh. This was the most put together Superman movie I've ever seen. I always thought the Chris Reeves joints were a joke. It's really hard to do Superman stuff which is why video games always get pushed back.

outside of the fight scenes it was a little weak.
- i hated they kept jumping around from the past to present.
- they really didn't need lois lane in this movie. She shouldn't know who superman is from the jump of his story. that shyt was wack. Plus they didn't make her as tough as they should've
- pa kent dying to save a puppy :stopitslime:. I understand he did it to save clark's identity, but at least make it more meaningful

- but everything else was tough. Seeing metropolis buildings getting crushed was :wow:
- than the fight scenes was on some DBZ shyt.

The whole super secret identity shyt is played out to me. I was one of the few that thought itb was cool thev way Capt Stacy found out Peter was Spidey in Amazing Spiderman.

:ehh:I like the movie. The fight sequences showing Supes real powers had to happen, and its better than anything in the Reeve universe, but the path to get there was very clunky. :beli:No way Supes should have been thrown into a battle with Zod a couple of days after he found out his origin. Even if it was a montage, they should have shown Supes (not Clark) saving people in Metropolis, learning his powers (flying), preventing disasters, etc for another year or 2 to build his legend up as Superman. :childplease: It should have taken Zod years to find Earth after they found out Kal-el was there. I didn't like using the space ship instead of the FOS. It would have been better if the key activated the FOS in a stationary location i think, maybe underwater. Jor-el being the A.I. was great. I thought Russel Crowe did a good job. :shaq2:Lois finding out who he was was ok, but they made it look too easy. I think it would have been better if she started out in Metropolis investigating this new guy saving people, while making the government mad, not being in the exact same place Clark was when he found out who he was at the same time:heh:. The final battle would have been fine without team Zod trying to make Earth new Krypton. They should have just had his team go out a cause destruction with Supes trying to fight them off like the final act in Avengers. :dahell:The using his space ship to merge with Zod's ship to send them back to the phantom zone was too confusing, they should have figured out a better way to achieve that. :banderas:The Main Event between Supes and Zod was great. We needed to see what Supes was capable when he's not holding back and i never thought we would see that outside of the cartoons. :win:They always destroyed Metropolis in the comics and cartoons and it was cool to finally see it in live action. :stopitslime:At the end though, i think they let Supes off the hook, he is responsible for alot of death & damage and all the government was doing was sending drones out that he easily destroyed. He told them they would never find him but all they had to do start in Smallville. There should have been questions as soon as Ma Kent filed that insurance claim against the house as well as the rest of the people of Smallville whose stuff was destroyed because of Clark. I'm sure Pete would have spilled his guts knowing that Clark is out saving the world and he's stuck cleaning tables at IHOP:mjlol:. It should not have ended showing Clark being introduced at the Planet where everything seems to be normal only a few days after downtown Metropolis got destroyed:yeshrug:

  • Boring and dull main character.
  • Boring plot.
  • Non-linear storytelling.
  • Grey filter.
  • Rubbish CGI.
  • Bland action scenes(there's only one good action scene in the film).
  • The Hentai rubbish.
  • Stupid actions from characters.
  • Forced love interest.
  • Russell Crowe
  • Nobody being able to recognise him at the end.
  • The main villain(a soldier) getting beat down by a scientist at the start of the film.
  • The main villain's laughably anti-climatic death.
  • The nonsensical and viewer insulting ending and career path for Clark that was never once alluded to in the film's 2 and a 1/2 hour+ runtime.

That's why

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Create a gully Zod then kill him off before he swags out with a wimpy ass neck snap brehs :blessed:

The villains were more interesting than British superman and they got little screen time.

Zod's logic was flawed but how can kryptonians be that stupid. They have the technology to not only travel to other planets but turn them into their own but know have the common sense to know when their own damn planet is about to go poof. It's little shyt like that which turns people off. Should've stuck with the OG version of their sun dying.

WTF are you even talking about with the bold? :what:

nothing wrong with how the non-linear storytelling was handled. one of the best scenes in the film was when a young clark's powers were going outta control in the classroom and he was freaking the fukk out so bad they had to bring in ma kent. I thought--for the most part--they spliced in supes past with the present nicely

I for one am glad the movie wasn't bogged down with some bullshyt romance plot. the chemistry between them may have been a little lacking but I thought amy adams did a good job. unlike kate bosworth, I bought her as a pulitzer prize winning journalist. think about how horrible most female leads are in superhero movies. lois in this was one of the least annoying there is.

supes catching a body was probably zack snyder giving the middle finger to hardcore superman geeks as a way of saying 'this is a new era fanboys get used to it. gritty superman is here'

I didn't mind it at all; bout time superman manned up for the greater good. zod needed to die

fight scenes were fukking excellent. everything else was mediocre and I'm a huge Snyder fan. I just wasn't invested in the story.

I hear some of the wildest complaints with this movie.

I remember reading one in the last MOS thread that the action was "too fast" and the poster couldn't keep up :what:

nikka above talkin bout "Hentai shyt?" "Rubbish CGI?" :what:

shyt like this tells you all you need to know :mjlol:

I liked the movie and i have never been a fan of Superman

Action was dope, i liked the krypton scenes and jor el, zod and his crew put in work...

Only complaints would be lois lane and the pacing... Im ready for the sequel
