on some real shyt they made better country shyt than most country nikkas did...hell i didnt even know they were from chicago..at the time..u couldnt tell

desperaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdooooooooooh...useta beat up apartment complex's and make microwave's fall..useta hit like a hoe..

hell ray cash another one...when he first came out...i could have sworn he was from texas...then i realized cleveland..was 1 of mike jones biggest market..
as a kid I got put on to Swishahouse, Mike Jones, and Dj Michael Watts visiting fam in CLE.

came back to Philly bumpin all this screwed up shyt 😂

I remember liking Crucial Conflict in like 6th grade, jumping up and down at the school dances, knowing every word to the song "Hay." I even had the album, which I let some dude borrow because it wasn't very good.

During 7th grade I went through my uncle's old record collection and realized the sample was from Funkadelic. Never listened to that song or that group again. I guess they're kind of like Korn or Limp Bizkit or all of that kind of music.

They weren't pretending. The West Side of Chicago has much more of a rural country accent than the South Side. I'm talking about the black communities specifically. It's probably because of where black people came from during the Great Migration north to Chicago. Then the West Side became segregated from the South Side and the accents stayed isolated

The West Side was definitely more country from what I remember. We used to sit on the front stairs eating cereal out of those color-changing Dennis Rodman cups
