Well Travis has said multiple times his mom worked at Apple and his father owned his own business:

“My mom worked for Apple, and my dad owned his own business”

His grandparents were PHD’s
“I was in college at The University of Texas and I dropped out. My grandparents were extra educated, my grandfather has his doctorate in philosophy. When I dropped out of school, it was the worst man. They cut me off. I was like a rebel about this education life. I was all bad. I was like a kid man, like, ‘Why the fukk are you so damn bad bro?’ [Laughs.]

He went to elite private schools
I went to private school in elementary and middle school, but then I went to public school in high school man. I loved private school. It was like the freshest bytches and all my homies were rich as fukk. That showed me a whole other taste level of life. That’s when I knew, shyt is way bigger than Houston, period. Which influenced me to just like tap into other things, stylistically.

He stayed with his Jack N Jill friends at USC
but I knew someone I could stay with at USC. So I was crashing with my homie on his couch at USC.

:hubie: I don’t know why he tries to change and hide his image. Maybe he thinks it helps him relate to the inner city.

Who Is Travi$ Scott?

They have scholarships for gifted students whose families can't afford the tuition. Having an education-- even a doctorate doesn't make you wealthy. My boy's girl has a PhD and all she does it sit around playing Nintendo Switch while he's off working. And working for Apple doesn't mean you're an engineer. She probably just worked at the Apple store as a manager or something.

What are the requirements to be successful, Black and respected? Lol. Can’t be wealthy or a lame or safe or whatever.

A lot of y’all complain that women want Tupac in a business suit but that’s who a lot of y’all look up to and want to be as well based on what some people are saying in this thread.

The truth is that when you hating on a brother like this you’re just projecting your own insecurities. Of course his success HAD to come from having well off parents or the Kardashian stimulus because if he came up “normal” or poor like you then he’d be just like you, living a normal life. Well that’s bullshyt cuz it’s plenty of hood nikkas who made it too. I’m not even a fan of this motherfukker but dude is clearly very smart. One of the most underrated parts of being smart is being able to set a goal, know what skills/drive/knowledge/connections it takes to get there then executing. Dude had some advantages, yes, but clearly he did a lot to shepherd his own results.

And again, I think his music is trash but he knows his market and the appeal and is taking advantage of that knowledge without compromising himself or his community. I can’t ever hate on that, in fact, I salute. :salute:

:mjlol: I have no idea why you’re trying to make this bigger than it is But if T.Scott mother worked at an Apple store she wouldn’t be in Jack n Jill. You have to get multiple references, two endorsements from members, plus a massive financial and background check.
