Depends. Texas COULD go blue if Dems are able to win over and turn out Hispanic and suburban voters.

Texas and Florida still being red have more to do with no state income taxes. Any democratic running on raising taxes in those states, is going to have trouble winning.

While this year's exit polls are unlikely to be reliable, they still had Biden winning by 20 points with Hispanics in Texas, and Biden didn't even have very good Latino outreach. It would be suicide for Texas dems not to try to perform well among Hispanics, they're far better ground for the dems than white people are and there ain't enough black folk to carry the vote there alone.
