This is what happens when you have economies based on giant corporations that get incentivized to leave. GM and Ford building cars in Canada and Mexico pretty much left Detroit in shambles. Somewhere along the line they realized they could leave and have nothing in place to replace all that money lost and black people suffered the most. They would never let a majority white city suffer like that, trust me. I've seen it myself.
