Tell them to go to your sound cloud ?:lupe:

Why not just push your music on the internet?

Promoting your music on the internet can reach more people and can reach further than handing out cd's ever could

You can have both, but that hand-to-hand interaction is more guaranteed than hoping someone remembers your name when they get home.

In addition to posting music on the net, you have to do something in the physical space as well.

you're right cause i haven't seen people doing that shyt in years and i'm mostly in brooklyn and manhattan but i remember back in the day on any busy thoroughfare dudes use to be out in force with that, downtown brooklyn fulton street mall area use to be crazy with it

Breh..if they are in an area of decent foot travel and setup shop for 5-8hours, they could easily clock 5 figures in a year..And we not even talking 10-15k..like 20k and up..

this broad told me she gambled her rent money:wow:
Rochester dude told me he'd take the Peter Pan down to BX, get up w/ his peoples, scam all day, and then scam everybody on the way back.
People too broke in Rochester for that game and everybody's hip.

Everyone that is local does that though..If your an unknown, you need something for the person to remember you for

I think with everyone rapping, actually being out there on the pavement is more helpful...it shows your grinding and it excellent for networking..

if your a good dude, who knows where a simple convo can take you

Besides those cd's can be a tax writeoff

Why cant you do both though? If anything handing sumbody a CD can make people go to the internet and do more research on ya music

Yeah but the dudes that I see in midtown have terrible presentation

And they approach the oldest white people that either look a little shook or look like they don't want to be rude

I could be wrong but it looks like they're more worried about getting a couple of dollars for the cd than they are about the person hearing their music

..out of all them dudes pushing cds on the streets 95% of them aint never gona make it. Why should i pay you five bucks for a cd when i aint never hea4d that rapper before in my life?

Some of these dudes...especially....need to just hang it up and get real jobs. Rap is not the money maker it once was

I agree to an extent...But

there are different levels to "not making it"..

bruh, you white. why do you insist on usin' a word that you know us black people find offensive when y'all white people use it? :aicmon:

i don't care how long you been listenin' to hip hop, how many of us black people you know or maybe cool with, or how many hip hop albums you own, you have no pass or right to ever use that word, so just stop :stopitslime:
