For me though it was QITN, Safe N Sound and Rhythmilsm. Quik blessed nikkaz from junior high, high school through college, and beyond. Before the internet you knew certain tapes was the truth when you would go clear accross the country peepin fools rap collection and you would see one his tapes/CD's in somebody's stash

Quik was so cold when he first dropped, had everybody out here checkin for all the cats in his click. MAJOR radio/video play also. The triefeca of a hard on hoes movement that was so cold, young cats shoulda had no business playin when we were younger. All these nikkaz dropped tapes that same year right after Quik's debut.

yeah low key even out in LA i feel like Quik isn't as appreciated as he should be with people my age. Older LA folks seem to like Quik a lot. My sister is 6 years older than me and she used to bump Quik all the time when I was younger

The guy is easily top 5 most talented hip hop figures ever. I mean, this guy is a fukking GENIUS. Literally. For me he's on par with Dre. If Dre is #1 than Quik is #1B, not #2.

People born and raised in L.A around the time quik came out knows how big "tonight" was in the city. Its one of those songs that's a part of my childhood . I wish someone on the internet would upload all the classic sessions quik had with theo on 92.3 the beat
