I said he didn't do those aforementioned things well. He didn't go over the middle with great frequency, he wasn't a great run blocker and he wasn't as consistent as Jerry was.

In what logical way can you determine that Randy is better than Jerry. Randy DEFINITELY had more physical gifts, but Jerry's numbers DWARF Randy's. Randy's statement is based on ego and that's why he's getting killed. It's not even close and if he looked at the numbers like Jerry said he wouldn't be spewing stuff like this

Saying somebody played in a tougher era isn't suggesting the other person is soft. Tougher as in tougher to throw the ball and get yards through the air.
Randy Moss could do those things, but he didn't do them as well as Jerry/TO. And Jerry/TO didn't visibly quit like Moss has done numerous times.
That's my biggest beef with Randy, is the half assing it at times.

And on top of that, it was an untrue statement since the best of MAUCE happened before 2004.
The irony is that WRs before 1978 would probably throw shade at Jerry Rice's numbers and tell him to do it when cornerbacks could push you into the sidelines all the way down the field. But like most of our sports, the NFL is only thought of after 1980, with a few exceptions.
