This narrative of "Well he's white" has got to stop :russ:

He's a guilty pleasure and half of the coli's GUILTY PLEASURE... like a b*tch you keep picking on but you know deep down inside you want her for yourself but can't find yourself admitting you do:banderas:

Point blank, he MAKES HITS. Like it or not, they're catchy af and he does em well :hubie:

he ain't my favorite artist but i can def understand why people gravitate towards him, there's a LOT of casual listeners in this world and he's easy on the ears. Being easy on the ears will earn you mad fans than someone trying to be deep af :jbhmm:

a lot of casual listeners go to bars/clubs
a lot of casual listeners have money to blow aka the college crowd, when a song reminds you of a great time you had at a party, you're more than likely going to want more of that artist. Kid Cudi did that with his first album but didn't have to juice to be consistent like Post. It is what it is, the young crowd and their grandmas can listen to him :yeshrug:

Him being white is a huge part of his success. To deny this would be to deny reality.

It's crazy though cuz he's only the number 2 most popular "rap" artist on Spotify after Drake. And number 4 overall after Drake, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.

Melody is everything now...at least 90%. Post Malone is corny as corny gets but he understands melody and how to incorporate it into his shyt, whether its rapping or harmonizing or just vibing over the beat...doesnt surprise me at all that he is winning. Add on top of that the fact that he is white, shyt makes sense. Yall let these people infiltrate when you let corny people become cool in hip hop, opened the floodgates, blame yourselves, lol

nah you right, i agree completely with that but also being white gives you a quick peak and most of them disappear right after the quick push is gone, there are few that remain relevant after that, very very few. Eminem, Mac Miller (had a real nice career going) and Post. Everyone else just fades to obscurity. By then, you really have something to offer if you're still here.

He sounds just like everybody else but he’s white so that’s it. He runs the pop stations as well as being played on urban

He consistently makes pretty good music.

The hate he gets from pseudo militants is weird to me. He has a good ear and a good team.
HIs last 3 albums have had more legitimate hits, that mosts artists entire careers, no exaggeration.

I was skeptical at some point, but his vibe is infectious, he kills that lofi melodic wave.

He's a racist cac that looks and acts blacks, sings black music, has a good team of writers, and a big machine behind him. He's Elvis 2.0

I'm only 4 years older than him and my introduction to Elvis was through Public Enemy, I guess some of our hip hop artists were raised different. :mjpls:
