Media influences a lot of shyt breh
What is it with NBA media is it because it’s a star driven league? Is it for the clicks? Why do old players and analysts talk down on the new players? What’s going on?
breh you need to watch baseball because a lot of these regional networks have ex players on the mic and many of them are on some “well back in my day” shyt.
Now, there’s a way to speak on that “back in my day” shyt without sounding like a hater but many of these ex players just can help themselves. shyt, if you watched the MLB playoffs on TBS when John Smoltz was on the broadcast team, dude seemed laser focused on shytting on the Yankees AND is still sore about the Braves losing the 1996 World Series to Jeter and the Crew.
The Braves were supposed to be the “team of the 90s” and the Yankees showed up in the late 90s and won chips at their expense. So on TBS, Smoltz couldn’t hide how much he wanted the current Yankees to fail.

so when you have older guys doing all the coverage
this is for EVERYTHING....all sports and entertainment coverage is a bunch old nikkas yelling at the sun about how their day was this and that
its like we all reach a certain age and forget what it was like having our sports and music picked apart
i had to check myself that other day cause i was criticizing kids for turning a Mariah Carey song into some murder shyt...then later that day, I was bumping a TRU song that flipped a Levert song into a murder anthem
nikkas was soft,lazy, making too much money and all that back in the 90s according to the oldheads..Bulls only good because of watered down league..Jordan couldnt fukk with Wilt, Dr J, Big O and all that....
now your seeing the early 2000s guys do the same shyt. The cycle will continue.
especially with all these video game numbers and records being set right now. Lebron, Giannis, Russ, Steph, Harden will be a GODs once we get far enough away from it.

Big O was bitter for YEARS!!NBA is a stars league so naturally they have inflated egos, more so than any other sport.
There’s no “shield” or brand like other league. There’s no sense that the league is bigger than any individual.
Also older players are jealous that they don’t get the kind of money or attention that younger players get. A lot of them are bitter that they underachieved and wasted away their prime. They get jealous when they see youngsters shining and putting in the work that they never put in.
