The reason I say great is because most of the elite 3 point shooters Klay, Peja, Horry, Korver needed to be set up to get there looks. Kobe would create his own shot from 3 and make it. That’s tough as shyt. Ray Allen even needed to be set up towards the end of his career.

There are few elite three pong shooters who can create their own shot; only Steph, Ray Ray, KD and Reggie come to mind, right below them is Kobe. That’s pretty damn good

If kobe was a great shooter from deep, he would’ve at least hit more than a third of his attempts. He didn’t though. By no standards is 32.9% even good. In fact he didn’t crack 33% at any point in his last 7 seasons and only had 7 total seasons where he shot above 33% from distance. That means for 13 of his 20 seasons he was a mediocre to bad shooter from distance.
