Why is Camp Lo - Uptown Saturday Night rarely ever discussed as one of the best 90s albums ?

:why: Ski's production on this album is damn near flawless and they were spitting and flowin somethin distinctive from every one from that time period throughout the whole album . The 70s blaxplitation theme throughout the whole album is :banderas: :ohlawd:

It is, 00's babies don't have any real reason to know about it though. It hasn't been paid homage on BET or VH1 since it came out or in the Fader or Noisey or etc... no reason for them to know. Complex might have a random article on it but that's about it.

A Mississippi Cotton Field
cause they dropped it and then dropped of the radar.

shyt's flawless, but rap fans is fickle with super short attention spans.

Unless you died a horrible death so you'll always be remembered, your classic albums are only as good as your visibility.

I mean, hell. Imagine if Nas and Hov just disappeared after their first joints.
