im not buying seasons on dvd, but if its on ill watch it. i can see why most people dont like it because initially i was turned off by all the things you mentioned as well. but one day i watched it baked and liked it ever since

At my folks house and this is on. It’s not funny at all. The laugh track makes it worse. Every time somebody talks as soon as they finish there’s canned laughter and to be honest if there wasn’t I wouldn’t know half of what they’re saying is intended to be funny.

When I was in college, all of the STEM major students (math, engineering, computer science) loved Big Bang Theory.

They'd be quoting lines from the show in class and doing watch parties on campus.

I was never crazy about the show and I've watched more clips than episodes, but Young Sheldon made me appreciate it more. Sheldon carries the show on his back, though. They knew they couldn't do it without Jim Parsons which is why the cast was so pissed when he decided to leave.

I think my favorite joke in the series is when Penny says that Sheldon's impossible, and Sheldon replies with "I can't be impossible. I exist. I think what you mean to say is I'm improbable. "
