This is very true. If hood females are attracted to you and you don't carry yourself like a hood nigg they don't consider you lame, they say "he's laid back"Same but Sexy Redd type chicks do think I'm attractive
Contrary to popular belief alotta hood chicks actually do like lame square dudes
Dreads and golds have been watered down and manufactured to almost nothing breh. It was a time where when you saw dreads and golds you knew exactly how they were givin it up and it wasn't nothing glamorized or "attractive" about it.Interesting
Like the great poet Andre Benjamin said:
Now question is every nikka with dreads for the cause?
Is every nikka with golds for the fall? Naw
So don't get caught up in appearance
Yup growing up around my way it was the movie "Colors" that turned the generation before me out. Then you had Eazy, Snoop, and them West Coat Gs with just too much influence. When I was around 8 years old I watched a nigg trade his brand new pair of Deion Sanders Diamond turfs for a fresh pair of Chuck Taylors. I literally watched them swap shoes in the street.
Now this comment caught me off guard. Were you goin back n forth with them or did they randomly scream that shyt your way?
When I was in elementary and junior high I heard black women treat brehs like that. But I have NEVER heard white women come at brehs like that. Not even the nerdiest brehs. Be honest that shyt had you feeling some type of way didn't it?
Simple answer. Everyone like a bad boy until it's time to go to jail. Side note, it's one of many stereotypes we embraced that works more against us than for us.You try to do the right thing and you get the double the insults
So you walked past them with the Sis from back in the day and the randomly threw the shade your way. Then after that Sis from back in the day starts acting funny and distancing herself from you? How did you react when they said that? Sis prolly wanted you to check them. They randomly throw it my way. They where you basic slickly white girl. I was walking past them and they said he’s a buff nerd.
Yeah it had me feeling a certain way.
There was a black women who I hadn’t seen I forever. I’ve used to shoot the shyt back in the day but she basically didn’t want shyt to do with me all of a sudden. Gave me the worst attitude and short answer.
That part!If we being honest, being a square/lame is less taboo within most other communities (whites and especially Asian).
Black men especially are expected to be hyper masculine and “cool” within society.
You try to do the right thing and you get the double the insults
what is this?That part!
I love a lot of aspects about black culture but I have to say....sometimes we glorify shyt that we shouldn't.
Being cool and having swag is great...but unless that's getting u paid or u gaining wealth from that....then it isn't important as we make it. We should glorify more shyt that would make our positions in thus country and world better than being lower on the totem pole.
A white man can be wack and square as fuk and still pull mad women....us black men can't unless we a provider or tricking. Also, when blacks get white people....many times we have to pay a preference or divestor/swirling tax. We need to work together to gain a better position as a collective....and treat each other better and stop harming and killing each other and putting our people down.
Explain
it's not.
live your truth bredrin.
