Dreads and golds have been watered down and manufactured to almost nothing breh. It was a time where when you saw dreads and golds you knew exactly how they were givin it up and it wasn't nothing glamorized or "attractive" about it.

Yup growing up around my way it was the movie "Colors" that turned the generation before me out. Then you had Eazy, Snoop, and them West Coat Gs with just too much influence. When I was around 8 years old I watched a nigg trade his brand new pair of Deion Sanders Diamond turfs for a fresh pair of Chuck Taylors. I literally watched them swap shoes in the street.

I love a lot of aspects about black culture but I have to say....sometimes we glorify shyt that we shouldn't.

Being cool and having swag is great...but unless that's getting u paid or u gaining wealth from that....then it isn't important as we make it. We should glorify more shyt that would make our positions in thus country and world better than being lower on the totem pole.

A white man can be wack and square as fuk and still pull mad women....us black men can't unless we a provider or tricking. Also, when blacks get white people....many times we have to pay a preference or divestor/swirling tax. We need to work together to gain a better position as a collective....and treat each other better and stop harming and killing each other and putting our people down.

I think it's mainly about what's GLORIFIED the most in the media......that's what shapes people's minds the most...the media.

Everybody is "lame" in a subjective way but what's GLORIFIED as "cool" in the media is what most people is going to associate with being "cool".

For example, it doesn't get more "lame" than being a drug dealer/ gangbanger/street dude to me but it's so glorified in the media (rap music) that some people actually think that lifestyle is "cool" and want to emulate it (think Ja Morant).

The media controls whats "lame" or "cool" and I actually admire people who have the courage to be themselves and not be a sheep to what's "cool" in the media.

Walked past the a group of white girls and they made the comment.

Sat down to chop it up with the sista and got complete attitude later on.

Non of them knew each other.
